“Perfect for a larger group”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

We stayed in 3 of the units that were close together and had a wonderful time exploring, hiking, finding Indian ruins and petroglyphs. The 3 cabins had everything we needed including wifi and a 3 ring binder filled with locations of ruins and petroglyphs. There was a large fire pit area that was perfect for our group. The kitchens had everything we needed including a gas barbecue.

The ranch cabin was beautiful. It offered all the modern amenities while not compromising the rustic feel. Two bedrooms plus a loft that had three additional mattresses. Wifi was offered and digital tv was also available. Cabin is in a remote area approx. one hour drive from Moab, but was not a major concern. The only thing that prevents this cabin from receiving an Excellent score would be the excessive amount of spiders. Overall though a bit pricey, it is worth the drive.

Hi, Thank you for your stay! The Ranch Cabin is central to all 12 of the Parks and Monuments in the area, and numerous ancient ruin sites. Moab is within easy driving distance on a day trip. As for the spiders you mentioned, the cabin is professionally cleaned after all guests, and there are no spiders. Not sure what was thought to be a spider. We will check it for you. Jerry

This was a fantastic find, as we made a whirlwind weekend road trip around the Four Corners. The Ranch Cabin was perfect for us, and allowed our boys (dogs) at a small additional charge. The cabin was spacious AND cozy, believe it or not. We were greeted by the birds just outside the front door, and deer just outside the back door. During one of our walks, the boys made a new fuzzy friend - we think his name was Ninja - but we were calling him Roger. Ninja is the most friendly, fuzzy, happy-faced boy... we were sad to say goodbye as he ran behind the Jeep as we were leaving. For a moment, I thought he might wave as he stood by fence at the end of the road as we turned onto the main highway. He is quite the Canyonlands Lodge Ambassador - we love him! We loved our very short stay at the cabin & hope to stay much longer next time. There is far too much to do & see within a short drive from the compound... also VERY close to Monument Valley, which was our next stop on our road trip. The area is beautiful, serene & relaxing, but offers many opportunities to unplug & enjoy the beauty of the area. Monticello is also a cute little town - we ordered a pizza for dinner at the Wagon Wheel - seriously get the large (or extra large if they have it). There is a great little grocery store in town too, where we were able to get all of the necessities for a hearty breakfast in the morning. It's a wonderful place, a great getaway, & we hope to return for a much longer stay soon!! Thank you so much for a magical little oasis in the wilderness. Give hugs to Ninja from us!!

Room Tip: The Ranch Cabin has an awesome little loft that would be great for kids.

We stayed for one night in the Bunkhouse Cabin in Moab. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical and being required to pay in advance, but after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to give it a try. It was a wonderful experience. Everything was handle quickly and professionally. The directions to the cabin were easy to follow and everything in the cabin was as promised. The cabin had more space then we expected and a great kitchen (including some unexpected amenities like coffee and pancake syrup). We were there a very short time, but our brief interaction with the cabin owners was very pleasant and property was great. There were horses in pastures all around and my kids were excited to go say hello and visit with them. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this company to others.

We stayed at the ranch cabin this spring. We went with another couple. It was a really great cabin and the cost was just right for us! Way better than a motel. We got our food at a store in Monticello and it was so much fun fixing breakfast before the days of hiking. The cabin was quite a bit of a drive to the parks but it was worth it. We slept in the master room, our friends said the second bed was a little uncomfortable. Ours was just fine. We stayed 4 days and saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets each night. The weather in April was perfect. Not too hot not too cold. We also took a jeep ride with four corners adventures in blanding. They were wonderful and so close to the cabin. Thanks so much for helping us have such a great trip!

So good to hear that you enjoyed your stay! We always strive to get 5-star feedback :) Our properties are centrally located among more than a dozen state and national parks and monuments - so naturally, the driving distance is not always short but the benefit is that you're in the center of it all, with great attractions in every direction! :)
Hope to have you back again!!

My wife and I spent 2 weeks in the White Pine cabin, and it exceeded our expectations. Centrally located to many of the beautiful parks and wilderness areas. There were also many beautiful drives through canyons very close by. Waking up in the mornings to see deer grazing just a few yards from the cabin was a special treat! We hope to return in the near future!

Room Tip: Easy to miss the turnoff. Gettig to Upstairs loft may be challenging to some.

The Blue Mountain Lodge was fantastic. I stayed there with my four brothers, their wives, and 17 of our kids. It was nestled in the pines well off the beaten path. The decor was fantastic, furniture very outdoor oriented. I felt like I was staying in a hunting lodge. There was plenty of room for everyone. The cons...the basement bathroom didn't appear finished, with gaps in the tiles by the floor and a smell of dusty wet cement when I took a shower, and the drain didn't drain very quickly. Potential safety hazards...I found in a small room next to my bedroom, a utility type room with 4-5 filled gas cans inside, stopped up by plastic bags. I don't know how safe that is. Also I noticed two bedrooms had wiring for smoke detectors, but none installed. There was no air conditioning, we had to rely on breezes which usually did the trick.
Would I stay there again? Absolutely! We all loved the place. I would give it a whopping 5 if it weren't for the safety issues and bathroom.
Location...if you want to get away from civilization and be in the woods, this place gets a 5. If you want to be near any stores, then I'd give it a 3. The nearest towns are very small.
