“Clean, but Wow was it Noisy! Rates not good. Coupons are not valid!”
If you want to sleep, this is not your place! The noise levels were extreme. The 3rd floor had children running, knocking on doors, and yelling. This was occurring all hours and even up until 11-midnight all nights we stayed there.
We informed the front desk which room the kids were running in to and they acted like it was an inconvenience to ask them to stop. The hotel desk actually said "I will call and ask them to quiet down, but that's more than we should be doing". They called this room and of course the room said "no kids are running here" even though we witnessed them going straight in to that particular room. Other guests in our party complained of the same thing. We were all given the impression that it was ok for kids to be running all hours and too bad if our families needed sleep.
They advertise a coupon rate that they do not honor. It has the fine print that says to bring it at check in. When I called to make the reservations they said that you can not have the coupon rate when you call ahead. We showed it at check in and we were told you needed to inform them of the coupon when you made the reservation. The room was not cheap. It was mid-high range for comparable hotels.
The beds were comfortable. The pillows are nice. The room is decorated nicely. The A/C units were newer which was very nice.
The door has a huge gap by the bottom. This allows light and in from the hall way and extra noise. The rooms on the I-15 side are very close to the Interstate. The semi-trucks using jake brakes can be heard all night long.
The pool is extremely small and filled to the brim with children.
The continental breakfast was ok, but there is only 24 seats for a hotel that must have 150 rooms. If you didn't get to the breakfast early, you were out of luck. It was wiped out before the cut off hour.
Staff was not friendly or sympathetic to the noise problem. I feel the coupons are a lot like a bait & switch scheme. Go somewhere else, where you can sleep. The Holiday Inn Express up the road is much quieter and better value for your $$.
