“Good location. Average Hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Stayed here because it was close to the Canyons. It's more of a motel than a Hotel. The first night we were in the back building at the far end and couldn't get any internet. Changed for the next two and it was fine. The best thing about this place is the location. The staff were pleasant but not particularly friendly. Had a problem with the toilet and the guy came right away and the breakfast was like most places. Overall it's fine.

Hello from Kanab. We are very close to 3 national parks and many of the splendors Souther Utah has to offer. I hope you can return soon and explore some more!

I have stayed at the Red Hills Best Western several times. It is a convenient stop when travel to Logan, Utah and Montana for the summer and when returning to Tucson, Arizona. The hotels are clean and the hotel allows for small pets. The staff provides multiple choices for breakfast. There are a couple of good restaurants in this little remote corner.

There are some great restaurants nearby. We do allow pets in a limited number of rooms. Please be sure to book direct with the hotel when traveling with a pet to make sure we have a pet room available. When booking through 3rd parties this is not guaranteed. Thank you and please come again

Price of this Best Western in Kanab was extremely out of whack with other motels in the area. With tax it was 160.00! in Kanab. We have paid less in down town Salt Lake. There was no hot water. However it was very quiet area.

Hello and thank you for letting us know about the hot water issue. I will check the room you were in as we never have reports of no hat water, it might be as simple as a valve adjustment but thank you for letting me know. I'm sorry you felt the rate was high, during special events such as western legends they can go for about $139 + tax, but we are still a great value (Holiday Inn Express was $169 + tax for the same night).

Very good breakfast which included hot food - scrambled Egg and Sausages on the day I visited. Good Hotel, Wi-fi useful but had problems with the Best Western Web-site who refused my rewards member number for some obscure reason.

We did a spring break family vacation and explored the area, staying 3 nights at the Red Hills hotel. Kanab is a pretty convenient location, and we made it our home base (always changing rooms is a lot of work for our family). Room was perfectly clean, no issues, and staff very nice and dependable. Free breakfast was a pleasant surprise: big selection, self-make fresh waffles, fresh scrambled eggs, etc. Nearby Coral Pink sand dunes were a big hit with the kids, and the slot canyons were interesting (see photos). Recommend doing more than the big name famous stuff like Zions and Bryce, which are wonderful of course but there's lots more nearby that our family loved, and had few people.

Hello, we are an excellent home base for exploring the 3 national parks nearby, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the N. rim of the Grand Canyon. Glad you liked the free hot breakfast. Hope you come back soon!

Our room was stinky! Like animal urine mixed with human urine. There was a stain on the wall--not sure what that was--don't want to know. The carpet was filthy like it had not been cleaned for a very long time! The only redeeming light was the staff at the front desk was friendly, honest and helpful. Otherwise it would have been a horrible experience.

This motel is showing its age but is in a good location in the middle of Kanab which in turn is a good base for Zion and Bryce.

That said, the first thing that hits you in the lobby and bedroom is the smell. Not too sure what it was, musty/damp maybe. The reception staff did their job while chatting among themselves so I did feel slightly in the way.

Overall, only o.k.
