“A great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We went to the Xetava Gardens on the way home from California enroute to Colorado. It was a little our of the way but well worth it. It is a really beautiful peaceful place. The staff was so nice and the food was wonderful. We brougnt our children the staff was warm and friendly towards them also. The food was clean, good and healthy. Just what we needed after 10 hours in the car. I will stop by again anytime I am in the St. George area.

“What a Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

My wife and I dined here on the final night of our honeymoon....and what a great night. The staff went out of their way to make us feel right at home without even knowing that we were there on a special occasion. They sat us outside (per our request) and gave us our own personal gas firepit to enjoy for the several hours that we were there. The dinner was fantastic, and the wine that was recommended as a pairing was also ridiculously good. Sean, in particular, was a great waiter. He had a great attitude, as did all of the staff that we interacted with. Just an absolutely fantastic night! We will definitely be coming back the next time that we go to Zion. Well done.

“Really wanted to love it, but just couldn't!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

A lot of my friends rave about Xetava Gardens, and so we went with great expectations. We started with the Fried Avocado and Artichokes and the Spicy Hummus Plate, which we really did enjoy. We found the soup to be a bit sweet, and the dressing on the salad was sticky and a bit nasty. My wife had "The Wigwam", which was a fun presentation, but she really didn't enjoy the sauce, and the flavor was a bit off. I tried the "Marsala" burger. I had asked for a whole grain bread, and was brought a white flour bun sort of thing. They took it back and hastily shoved the burger onto a whole grain bread, but showed very little finesse in how it was done. The blue cheese sauce was frankly quite unappetizing. The onions and burger were quite tasty, but $17 for a fairly good burger with a nasty cheese sauce didn't feel like much of a deal. They did give us a lovely chocolate cake, which I enjoyed. So, in summary, there are better places to eat for the same price (we enjoy the Painted Pony) or comparable places to eat for a much lower price (we enjoy the Georges Corner). Best of luck to you!

We appreciate you taking the time to try out Xetava. What I find interesting about your review is that when you ordered the Marsala burger, you said you don’t like blue cheese, and you wanted it on plain wheat bread. We recommended against that, since it has a blue cheese sauce, and wouldn't fit or taste very good on the wheat bread, but you insisted. Now you are giving us a 1 star review. That’s like going to a shoe store, telling them you hate boots, but insist on buying a pair, and then complaining that they sold you boots. I think it is important for other reviewers to hear both sides of this story.

Your dissatisfaction with the balsamic reduction (the sticky stuff you mention) was on both the wigwam and the Greek salad you ordered. Fair enough. Our menu isn’t for everyone. Thanks again for giving us a try, and we hope you continue to enjoy your culinary adventures, wherever they take you.

“Best Special Event Location In Southern Utah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Xetava made our event absolutely amazing! Our guests dined on the beautiful patio and were served the best burgers, brats and grilled portebella's imaginable. The staff were all friendly and provided great service, every one of our 100 guests were thrilled with the food and the service. The beautiful setting, spectacular food and great service will make Xetava our go to place for any special event. The experience there is unparalleled in Southern Utah.
