“Great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2007

Great value. Standard room, nothing special, but came with a fridge and a microwave. Nice pool, but the kids particularly loved the mini-golf behind the motel. Nice safe location. Front desk staff was very accomodating.

Our two day stay went fairly well. The Q-bed room was sufficient and clean. The front desk area was adequate, but the front automatic door was broken. Also in need of attention are the very cold, highly chlorine pool and the minimal functioning outdoor jacuzzi. The hotel does have a mountain view, but also a rock crushing business in its back yard some 200 feet away. Nearby, the town provides a good size grocery store, fast food restaurants, gas, and a deveoping shopping center.

  • Liked — price and location
  • Disliked — pool and jacuzzi not properly maintained

This hotel is sinking fast. The desk is rarely staffed and ringing the bell gets you nowhere. The room smelled terrible. There is no elevator. The "deluxe breakfast" definitely wasn't. The "free wifi" didn't work much of the time and neither did the hot tub. All that is aside from the steam shovel loading rocks into trucks starting at 6:30 in the morning! Stay somewhere else - anywhere else!

Only reason for staying here was to wake up and head into Zion National Park early. Arrived at 11 pm and went straight to bed. Room was very small, but had a fridge at least. In the mornin went down for breakfast which wasn't very special, we actually looked around and went to the McDonald's down the road.
All in all, it was a quick stay, didn't get a chance to check out the pool or mini-golf course in the back.
One good thing was friendly service and a $60 rate on a Friday night

Very basic hotel...too far from Zion park...~24miles or so. It shouldn't be called the Zion Comfort Inn. Towels were small and thin, bed was worn but the air conditioning worked. Staff was friendly enough but room was very small and the selection of nearby resturants was terrible -- not really the hotel's fault, but choosing a hotel nearer to Zion would've given more options. Wouldn't go back.

Although we called to confirm our reservations for three rooms late that very afternoon as advised, beds in two of the three rooms looked as if someone else had just crawled out of them. Partially eaten chocolate chip cookies remained in one bed and a wine bottle remained in the trash can. The room reserved for my children was so dirty that they had to be relocated to a room in the floor above us. There was no apology or even an explanation offered by the front desk. The windows were left unlocked, and other indications of poor security prompted us to hide our wallets while we slept. This was the type of place where you wanted to confirm that the car was still parked in the parking lot outside your window. The free breakfast consisted of cereal in tupperware bowls and a jug of milk set out many hours before. We ate at a fast food place down the street. We were very disappointed.

Plumbing didn't work well. Toilet plugged up twice in a two day stay and flooded the bathroom. The wireless network doesn't work. It's easier to connect to the Days Inn across the street. Beds are typical low budget. Bring your own pillow. Hot tub works, but it's like sitting out in the middle of the nearby highway. Other options are available in the area. But the rate was good. We probably won't stay there again.
