“Meet Executive Chef Dean Hottle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

You'll never have a better meal than at the Snake Creek Grill. My favorite is the house rib eye steak. The halibut or salmon, when available, are also to die for. You will enjoy an upscale dining experience in a casual atmosphere that will satisfy your soul. Chef Dean often stops by to see how your meal is. Bar none, this is my favorite place to eat in all of the greater Salt Lake City area. It is a 20 minute drive from Park City.
This cozy roadside style restaurant is located at the old train station in Heber City, Utah. Here, over a hundred years ago, this train station exported more sheep than anywhere in the nation. Since that time older buildings have been brought to the site to create an old town feel and an old caboose on the property lingers from the train station days. (I'm a history buff and like to know about places.)
The Heber Creeper has been relocated about a half mile and is famous for it's train rides through Provo Canyon. How ever far you have to drive to get there--do not miss enjoying a meal here!
We have eaten here many times since 2003 as a couple, with friends, and family.

“Snake Creek Grill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

We were revered to Snake Creek when we learned Blue Boar and Simon's were both closed on a Saturday night due to private functions. Homestead called ahead for us and got us a table. The service was wonderful. The waitress was patient and informed. We had a wonderful steak that was cooked to perfection. the salad was incredible and the desert fantastic. It was higher priced but worth every penny.

“Slightly under the radar, but well worth the drive!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Heber has always taken a back seat to nearby Park City when it comes to fine dining, but the Snake Creek Grill is on par with Park City's best.

Located in a charming historic building off the main drag, Snake Creek Grill is a comfortable place for a fine meal with friends or family.

My wife and I opted for the filet mignon with wild mushrooms, local fresh green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. The fare was amazing! The steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the sides were fresh and delicious.

Snake Creek Grill is obviously a cut above the other restaurants in town and slightly more expensive--but well worth it!

“You'll never believe this is in Heber...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

It seems like most of the reviews here are relative to the Heber Valley/Small Town Utah area. This restaurant is rated and reviewed as a high dollar restaurant, but it seems that people are forgetting that just like the cost of living has gone up during this recession, so has the cost of food and service.
This restaurant is fantastic, especially given it's surroundings. The food is very down to earth with a touch of class, great execution, and creative vegetable presentations. I was very impressed by the food service and the most important aspect "Flavor" which Snake Creek serves up en masse, so don't touch those salt and peper shakers!
The Kitchen as a whole is a fantastic example of the value of great leadership. Everything about the food was heartfelt and genuine, which is where you get the sense of being down to earth. Service on the other hand, did not give that same sense of genuine care.
The service staff could have been trained better, while they did offer desserts, upsells, and wine lists they failed to come off with the same sincerity that the food did. While the service was not bad, it is heart breaking as a consumer to see the experience degrade in the final step, the service.
All in all, Snake Creek is a destination and as long as you make educated decisions in your purchases a couple can eat here for 30 dollars per person. If you value quanitity over quality, head to chuck-a-rama, if you are looking to appreciate the meal, experience, and the company you bring with you then this can be your destination too!
