“Good enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

We arrived in Green River quite late and our choices for dinner were very limited. We stayed within walking distance of the Tamarisk. I believe they were remodeling which would explain the rather barren appearance. The food was good enough, but nothing special. The staff was pleasant enough, but nothing extraordinary.

“Ever had a Navajo Taco?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

We were looking for something light for dinner and walked across the street from our hotel to Tamarisk. I had the "all you can eat" soup and salad bar which was well stocked with fresh greens and lots of different toppings and two types of soup. Wife had Navajo Taco (never heard of one before). It was a pita bread type crust (about 12 inches in diameter) and topped with her kinda toppings from chopped tomatoes, beans, cheese and I'm not sure what-else. It was different but very good. We had a river view from our window table but not much to really look at. Restaurant looked a little dated, needing some refurbishing and that is what they were doing.

“Good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

It's in the process of being remodeled. Everything is clean and new. Great food and portion size. Average prices. Great service. When its finished and decorated. It will be a great place for a meal.

“Always Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

Very predictable as always. A little on the pricey side for the amount of food. Great service, so it's worth it

“A nice quiet place on the river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

We had never eaten at the Tamarisk because everyone says "Go to Ray's." We were in town for a couple of nights so we tried the Tamarisk and weren't disappointed. It's quiet and we were seated looking out on the Green River at sunset - absolutely beautiful.

My husband and I both ordered the white fish with one side - he had fries, I had a once through salad bar. We shared our sides and it was a great meal. And it was FAST! We had rolls on the table within minutes and our meals came out very quickly!

The prices are higher than other places in town but if you want a quieter place to relax and if you want your food quicker, go to the Tamarisk. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday and he got a big piece of pie and ice cream - enough for both of us. We will definitely return!
