“Great Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

Made the choice to stay here based on price and trip advisor reviews. This place was perfect after a long day of hiking in Bryce. The room was basic, but the bed was extremely comfortable. The pillows were so soft. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast - the food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. I would definitely stay here again.

On a motor bike trip through Southern Utah area, and picked this location because of the reviews. We stayed in a King cottage, and loved it. We both love to ride horses, but because of the long days on the motor bike, decided against some of the horseback trips offered at this location. We would love to return to take a day trip to visit more of the area on horseback. It is an older motel, but kept very clean. The only minor disappointment was there was only a shower, my girlfriend prefers to bathe. The pool and hot tub are a great size, this area is also clean. The restaurant has great service, and the pies they always recommend did not disappoint.

Room Tip: Our room was at the end of the roadway next to the horse paddocks, being we love horses, this added...

This is a very nice but older motel along the side of the road (Route 12) located approximately 3 miles from the entrance of Bryce Canyon National Park. We reserved a “Full Kitchen Deluxe Room” for our 5 night stay which turned out to be one of the cottages on the property. We had a full kitchen, small living room with fireplace (which we did not use), a large bedroom and bath (double sink vanity area separate from toilet & tub area). The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, bowls, pots, utensils, large refrigerator, electric stove & table for two which we had to move slightly due to the slanted ceiling in that corner. Housekeeping showed up every day, provided clean linens for bathroom & kitchen & washed any dishes or the coffee pot if necessary. The only downside to our cottage was that the lighting was very poor, there were few electrical outlets (fortunately, we take a power strip on our trips for charging up various electronics), the water took a very long time to heat & the shower curtain was too long for the tub. You might want to bring slippers along as the tile floors were very cold, especially in the bathroom. Although some updating could be done, this is a very nice place to stay & I would definitely recommend staying here. A restaurant is located on the property. We had a nice dinner there one night & gave in to the temptation & had homemade pie for dessert.

We stayed here based on Trip Advisor reviews, and were not disappointed. We booked a cottage with full kitchen, as we were staying five nights and wanted to prepare breakfast and hiking lunches, and have snacks & cold drinks at hand when we got back after a long day.

Although an older motel, it has been renovated and is more than adequate. The cottage was spacious, with a large, fully equipped kitchen with table & chairs, a sufficiently spacious living room with fireplace and large screen TV, comfortable bed in the separate bedroom, and lots of room for toiletries with the two sink bathroom. The separate shower/commode room was a nice touch.

A few negatives: lighting was insufficient, you wouldn't have wanted to spend much time trying to read. Wi-fi was intermittent, and frustrating when you wanted to share your Park experiences with friends back home. Hot water, while satisfactory, took an unusually long time to heat up.

The good (not excellent, except for the coffee and berry pies) restaurant next door was nice, saving a trip back to the Ruby's area. The laundromat was located in their gas station a few hundred yards down the road, and was totally inadequate for the combined number of guests at the motel and campground. We ended up using the laundromat at Ruby's campground, across the parking lot from their general store.

The general store at the gas station was sparsely stocked, you really needed to use Ruby's general store, although their prices were astronomical. Unfortunately, the nearest supermarket with decent prices is in Cedar City or Kanab, two hours away. We shopped en route at the Super Walmart in Hurricane, near to I-15 west of Zion, highly recommended if you are coming from that direction.

Overall, we felt we received good value at this motel and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely rustic motel with very clean rooms. Restaurant was to die for if you like wonderful breakfasts, soups, sandwiches and some of the best pie we have ever eaten. The menu is a full menu as well. We just love soups and pies. This is like stepping back in time to a family run hotel and business. It is not more than 10 to 15 minutes from the park entrance.

Room Tip: You could request back from the highway if you are going tourist season. We were back in the back...

I stayed here with family whilst touring the states and of the dozens of hotels we stayed in this was far and away the best.

The rooms were comfortable and clean with good wi-fi and useful information provided about the local area. The crowning glory of staying at this place is the restaurant though which does delicious home cooked food and is manned by friendly and helpful staff.

The only down side was that the showers were a bit cramped and not great if you are above 5'10.

Whilst it might not live up to all-singing, all-dancing chain hotels with spas and a thousand channel TV it is a brilliant family-run hotel that provides you with everything you need and is just a 10 minute from Bryce National Park.

This is a. Pretty average hotel. Just the basics. There is a small clean pool and hot tub. The restaurant on premises has generous portions of basic meals, nothing fancy. The reception staff were very pleasant. No complaints.
