“Incredible!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

I will admit, there are not many hotel choices near Bryce Canyon, but even so, this hotel would be one of my top choices out of many I have stayed in. We went early in the season and received a great rate on a two-night stay with complimentary breakfast buffet each morning. The lobby was very warm and inviting, and has a nice fireplace and very unique furniture. The staff was great, and we were greeted with a friendly "Hi!" and a smile each time we bumped into any of the staff. Our room was very large, clean, and well-appointed, and seemed like it was brand new. The only drawbacks to this hotel, in my opinion, were the size of the queen beds (very small) and the noise in the hallway, which subsided later in the evening and did not interfere with sleeping. This will be our first choice whenever we visit Bryce Canyon.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor toward the end of the hall.

One of the best and cleanest hotels I have stayed in for awhile! Pleasantly surprised to discover they upgraded our standard room to a suite at no extra charge! This room was a great size for my family! The gal at the front, a younger gal with shorter blonde hair and an accent (didnt catch her name) was fabulous! She was friendly and cheerful! There was another lady as well, an older woman at the desk who was a tad snarly, but the younger gal was great! Rooms were clean and was surprised to find the floor a bit damp when we got to our room...they steam clean the floors after guests checkout...nice knowing my kids weren't playing around on nasty carpet! Lots of nice sanitization procedures in place at this hotel, which I appreciate! Hot and cold breakfast buffet was awesome! The eggs tasted a but funny, but everything else was wonderful! Tons of friendly staff on hand manning the buffet, refilling items as they got low, etc... We were here in the off season, so that may be why everything was so perfect, but for $89 per night, with the room we were upgraded to and the awesome breakfast buffet I feel like we got a steal! We will definitely stay here when we come back again and will most definitely give a glowing recommendation to our friends and family! Thanks for an enjoyable and comfortable two nights!

I love this review! I'm glad to hear we got just about everything perfect for you! Cleanliness and comfort are both vital to providing a good experience for our guests. It sounds like Oana checked you in, she's one of our valued supervisory team members. The breakfast buffet is great, and if you consider the money that would otherwise be spent for breakfast, a really good value.

We appreciate your comments and hope to have you visit again! If we can be of assistance in the future, please contact us at 435-834-5770.

This is a solid four star hotel.

We had a great stay here. Since it is *freezing* in Bryce right now (it’s “low season”), the hotel must have had extra rooms and gave us a free upgrade. (Thanks nice front desk people!) We had a very spacious room that also included a coffee maker and microwave. The room comes with free hot breakfast and that was amazing! Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, donuts, waffles, you name it. Yum!

The place is very good, superbly located, and given that mid-March is deeply off-season to visit Bryce Canyon, reasonably cheap ($80/day). We also got a free upgrade to a large suite room, which didn't exactly spoil our opinion of the place. Most of the social action - shops, eateries, post office, and even some entertainment - is in or around Ruby's but a car trip will take you there in under 1 minute. The breakfast was average at best, but we didn't expect much.

For those like me hooked on Internet, WiFi there was practically nonexistent. Reading a text email was a chore, browsing news was an exercise in patience, and just forget anything over 1Mb. I hope they fix it soon; it's 21st century, for Christ's sake.

Oh, and one important note. If you, like me, have a weak heart or a breathing problem, do not forget to crack the window open; unlike many other hotels trying to decrease heating costs, BW Grand allows it, which pretty much saved my life. Given the elevation at which the hotel is located, you'll need every bit of oxygen you can get!

Thank you for this review of your stay. I hope you enjoyed the larger room upgrade. The winter time is definitely a good opportunity to visit at our offseason rates and the Canyon is beautiful any time of year. I'm sorry to hear you had some difficulties with the Wifi, it's normally a really good connection.

We do appreciate your comments and hope to have you visit again! If we can be of assistance in the future, please contact us at 435-834-5770.

I spent one Friday night at the hotel during the late winter. The room was very clean and more nicely furnished that I was expecting. The lobby is beautiful, the included breakfast decent, and the outside hot tub a bonus. I walked past a nice workout gym too. Bryce Canyon NP is about a mile down the road. This hotel is your best bet for lodging and as a base for a hiking vacation in the area.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us at the Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel. Right outside the park, it is a great starting place for exploration of the Canyon. The hot tub is a nice place to relax after a long day of hiking and photography.
