“Great hotel, nice room!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

The room was large and clean, beds were nice and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were ideal after a long day, hiking in Bryce Canyon. I highly recommend this hotel, if you visit Bryce Canyon, but you will need 1,5 hour to get there, but it really worth it as the scenery, driving up to Brian Head is really breathtaking!

We appreciate you taking your valuable time to provide us with feedback. We all are encouraged by your positive remarks and we grow and learn from constructive input. As you have pointed out, our fantastic lodge is an ideal lodging location for folks that are visiting either Bryce Canyon or Zions Nat'l Parks. Our summer temperate weather and beautiful scenery adds another great element to visiting southern Utah.
Thanks again for your kind words.

Overall it is a very good hotel for Brian Head. Rooms are well appointed and an excellent value for the size and comfort. The food is much better than average for a hotel of this category, with the bar and breakfast menus featuring several interesting dishes, but burgers are available too if needed! Prices are a little bit on the high side but portions are generous. Salads are excellent. At times the staff seems overwhelmed but this is the exception more than the norm.
The spa is hit and miss. One of the therapists apparently feels her job isn't done until you know all about the drama in her personal life.
WiFi is the hotel's weakest point. During peak usage time, it is almost useless. It's apparently not been provisioned for the demand (in midweek to boot) and randomly dropped connections are extremely common occurrences. Trying to reconnect can be a frustration experience. Very early in the morning or late at night when everyone else sleeps, it works great though!

Room Tip: If you need WiFi, get as room as close to the lobby/bar as you can. On weekdays, don't count on...

I sprung for the Lodge instead of the lesser quality rooms at other locations because of the 2 restaurants on site and a bar as well. They offer a free shuttle to the base of the mountain because it's about a mile away. The front desk people were not all that friendly when we checked in which made me think I might have made a mistake. But the room was gorgeous and very well decorated. It looked very updated with mountain rustic decor and beautiful photograph art on the walls. But it also has a touch of modern with the granite countertops and very nice fixtures.

There were outlets almost everywhere we looked which is rare. The AC/Heat was controlled by a wall thermostat and made it very comfortable while quiet. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms is spacious and large with 2 queens, a desk, 2 nightstands, and a dresser. The bathroom was large and well appointed with upscale toiletries. Even the coffee was a good blend (I'm a self-admitted snob)! The next couple of days the front staff was very friendly. The housekeeping staff was just awesome as well and very friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast in the Steakhouse and it was very reasonable as far as resorts go. We had one dinner in the bar one night and enjoyed it so much we went back the 2nd night. The 1st night the space had been rented for a wedding party who thought they had the space until 9pm so they tried to accommodate them while accepting dinner guests. A server (I wish I remembered her name) saw us wondering about what was going on and found us seats at a counter and took VERY good care of us. She is part of the reason we returned.

The shuttle drivers were wonderful with directions and suggestions for restaurants. They even offered to drop us off at a location they didn't stop at.

I was very impressed with the whole weekend. We usually ski Brighton, Snowbird and Park City but decided to check out Brian Head because they had received a lot of snow where the others hadn't. I'm SO glad I chose the Lodge at Brian Head! I will return again for sure!

Room Tip: Our room faced South which is over the parking lot. I wasn't there to stay in the room but if yo...

It was just my husband and myself. Dinner was very good and service as well. Started with bacon wrapped prawns, had the beef stroganoff and chicken Alfredo.
Wine was a little over priced for the area, but good selection. Would def recommend. We will be back!

Took the kids skiing for the first time at Brian Head, and stayed at the Grand Lodge nearby. We went with a queen suite, so had 2 rooms and a pullout couch in the sitting area, it was very large and plenty of nice space for a family of 4, including dining table, small fridge and microwave. We brought in some of our own food, and borrowed real bowls/plates from the hotel with no problem.

Rooms were nice and comfortable, air conditioner was pretty loud.
Bathroom was shower only but very nice, large and clean.
Hotel food was pretty good, ate at the Lift bar. Not a lot of options for vegetarians but for one meal it was good and easy.
Pool was fine for the kids, and 2 hot tubs for the adults.
Didnt visit the spa.

It was near the end of the season so it wasnt very full, but my biggest complaint is the thin floors, we could hear walking above us at times, though didnt seem to hear the neighbors on the same floor. Maybe get a top floor room to avoid this?

Overall great time at the Lodge, and would stay again for sure.

Room Tip: Maybe top floor since floors seem thin/noisy?

We had a beautiful drive through the area and had a wonderful lunch and delicious Bloody Mary's in the Lift Bar!! The hotel is beautiful and the staff were great too! I accidentally left my rings in restroom in the bar and called to see if anyone had turned them in... it took a few days, long story short, but they did find them and the hotel manager made sure to return them to me as soon as possible! They did an awesome job! I have my rings and all is good! I very much recommend this hotel whether it be for just a short visit or long visit!

We were looking for a weekend getaway and took our family to brian head and stayed at the grand lodge. The hotel itself is really nice. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are nice and a spacious. We got a 2 queen room and there was plenty of room for a roll away bed as well so it nicely accommodated our three kids. The pool is small but really nice with a large waterfall which our kids really liked. There are also two hot tubs, one inside and one outside. They were both great. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Overall, I thought our stay was great. The beds are nice but they are firm and I don't do well with firm beds. I didn't sleep really well but overall, my stay was nice. I would gladly visit again.
