“No Lift Lines, Plenty of Snow & Friendly People”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

It's not Salt Lake's Solitude, Snow Basin, Park City or Alta, but it is in my neck of the woods. Less than 4 hours by car or bus, from Las Vegas. Great weather, dry packed powder, and no ice, like back east, or in the Pacific Northwest.

A nice intermediate ski resort without rocks like Lee Canyon Ski & Snowboard Resort, which is just too warm to hold snow.

I would carry a good alarmed cable lock, like one for a laptop for your gear or keep it close by. A few out of work thieves can and have been at work this season at many resorts nationwide and here is no different.
Near chair 2-3 has lockers bigger by the chair exit door at $.50 each opening or a big tub with unlimited access for $5.

I took the PSP tours "M" Hotel ski bus for $50 and $45 for adult lift ticket (*$5 discount buying in advance only) it did not go this week because of not enough to fill it at around 22 people.

I have been there many times, for many years, having grown up in the area and owned a home in Parawan, so I know the area well.

If driving up, stop in Cedar City on the main street for Sonny's Bar B Que smoked right out front. Not cheap fast food, but better than Dickey's in Texas, with the best cauliflower I have ever tasted, being a Texas food kind of guy! I had the double burnt ends sandwich in January 2013, and it was outstanding.

“Feel like a skier at last...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Flew from the UK to spend a one week family get together at brianhead, ages from 6 to 72 years. Great conditions and loads of fresh powder. Experienced snowboarders and skiers in the group didn't think it was very challenging, although they still had a great time. For an intermediate like myself I felt it was a great place to improve and even managed the black runs. Very reasonable priced lift passes and ski hire from Brian Head ski hire is advised, they are very helpful and stock a good variety of boots, skis and snowboards.

“Utah has the best snow anywhere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Highest ski resort in Utah so take an extra day to acclimate if you have trouble with altitude. Perfect resort for learners, all trails were well groomed and service was great. MUCH less expensive than Colorado, or Alta/Snowbird/Park City. Easy and pretty drive from Vegas. There were no black diamond runs open the day we skiied due to "wind", which could have been bad at the top but was not at all on the bottom. Very kid friendly. Beautful mountain views with red rocks dusted with snow.

“Fun and happy place to ski”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

Brianhead is a really mellow town. It has two ski areas that are well maintained. Utah gets a lot of powder and is usually mild in temperatures.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Lift tickets are very reasonable. The lines are small and lifts maintained by friendly staff. Everyone is so polite. This is a sleepy town so ski day to night and enjoy the fresh powder and peace. Lessons and kids school are great.
I love this area and go often only 3 hours from Vegas pack up the skis and dogs for a weekend of fun.

“Easy does it”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Very quiet, relaxing this is a place to visit to take it easy. If you want to challenge yourself try a different resort but if you want to unwind give them a try.
