“Rooms ok, but not the breakfast...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

On a tour of the canyons, we wanted to insert a short stop in Blanding. We were aware of the bad reputation of the hotel and of the fact being situated in a dry county, but decided that this stop would improve our timing.

We (two couples of 65+) were happily surprised by the fact that, obviously, management had read the bad reports and invested in a thorough refurbishment of the rooms which were, in all aspects, clean and certainly not rundown.

On the other hand, breakfast is a shame, being a 100% self service in a factory canteen, offering a little bit of bread, jam and bad coffee. Can management pursue its effort for that part of the accommodation?

Reception staff was very friendly.

I would give it a second try when coming back in the region.

Room Tip: Before registering, ask for a look at the breakfast room.

Limited options in this tiny town ... easy to find but old and run down. Booked the room thru Booking.com and felt like we were relagated to the far corner of the property even though the place wasn't half full. The room had a distinct oder of chemicals and smoke luckily we could open the window for fresh air. Highly recommend the Patio Burgers diner for food.

Room wasn't properly dusted and vacuumed, I had to request for it. Mini fridge was half way cleaned and when I look at fridge from behind I can see the few months worth of dust. I can hear chatting next room until 11 pm. I don't think pool was cleaned every day, it smell more and more like chlorine each day. Breakfast is $15 per day per person which is very expensive. Their cleaning techniques are lazy and I did mention to them.

The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable, perfect for a one night stay as we were travelling through. Staff were very helpful when I needed them. Breakfast was adequate, yogurts, cereal, breads, waffle - not hot but you don't always need that! One note aout the town its dry, ie no alcohol is sold or available, not a problem fo us but worth knowing...

Me, my wife and two sons really enjoyed our night here in Blanding. The staff were very friendly, very accommodating to two requests we made, and we felt "cared for". The pool was fun and the breakfast good, including a machine to make your own waffles which was unique. The room was very comfortable for an inn and we had a good night's sleep. I would recommend this to anyone.

Room Tip: The beds are freakin' enormous! A really comfortable night. They wheeled a spare bed for one of...

Stayed during a sold out weekend for one nite before heading down Monument Valley. Very clean room and everything worked. Did not have to order more towels, etc. for a party of three. Breakfast pretty basic and filed void before lunch. Front desk helpful with fast check in and check out. Met expectations for the money.
