Yum-O! I wanted to do the "happy dance" after my first bite of the classic meat pizza from Rosati's. The sauce tasted homemade like my mama learned to make from our neighbor who was second generation Italian. It had plenty of seasoning which is often lacking in Italian chain restaurants and even some who pretend to be fine dining. There was plenty of good quality cheese and meat. I could taste the seasoning in the sausage as well. It was a complex burst of flavor that made every bite worth whatever the calories totaled.
I also tried the hot wings with blue cheese dressing. The dressing was "the good stuff" with full fat and big chunks of cheese in it. The carrot and celery sticks were a little scrawny, but I honestly didn't care about them with the quality of the other items. My wings were meaty with plenty of sauce.
I tried two different desserts, the cheesecake and the caramel apple pie. Both were just OK in my experience but tasty enough. The cheesecake was just typical NY style with some unimpressive strawberry sauce drizzled on top. I think perhaps it was the crust of the apple pie that took it down a notch? I won't waste valuable stomach real estate on dessert again when the main dish is so good.
I go to Waco regularly for work, and I guarantee I will be working my way through the menu at Rosati's on future visits.
They deliver fairly fast to local hotels which is nice for business travel when you may want to be unwind and have great food in your room that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
