What a disappointment! Always one of our favorite restaurants when in town visiting the folks. In fact we felt it rivaled some of the better restaurants in Houston, but no more. On our last two visits which were 4 months apart we were very disappointed. On the first visit I ordered the halibut special which was extremely dry. I sent it back with promises a new one would be delivered asap. The new entree didn't arrive until everyone at the table was finished - over 30 minutes later. On our last visit this past week my scallops (always my favorite dish in the past) were dry, the spinach inedible. My husband, which will eat anything, ate only two of his bacon wrapped shrimp before asking "What has happened to this place? Do they have a new chef?" Well if Pelican's does have a new chef we suggest they go find the old one. If they don't they better figure out what has gone wrong and correct it. Definitely a sad disappointment.
