I went this week with a friend when we took our two 80+ year old fathers for hearing tests. We went at 11:45, no crowd. Hostess was visiting with back to door. After several calls for service she responded and set us in the middle section with loud music. Server was very nice and sweet and attentive. Food was Ok 24 hour type stuff. Nothing to talk about. Even my friend and I who can hear couldn't talk. We left as soon as possible. As we checked out we realized the section over had no music. Some training and management needs to realize they whole world doesn't want loud music to talk over thru their whole meal. This is a pervasive problem in many resturants. Bars and sports bars you expect but we went to IHOP that caters to other types.
Our fault was we did not complain. Just shouldn't have to. Basic management.
