“Great place. Will definitely return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2012

There were a few negative reviews that do not describe what we experienced today. My wife had the chicken sandwich and I had the 2 meat combo (brisket and sausage). Both were excellent. The chicken was a whole chicken breast on a big roll nicely prepared. My combo plate had plenty of great brisket and really good sausage. The brisket was freshly smoked (not 'Grey' - whatever that means).

One reviewer reported spending $30 for 2 sandwiches. I don't know what he might have had but our total bill (including iced tea and a side of fries (good by the way)) was only $23 including tax.

Will definitely return when we are in the area again.

“What Texas Roadhouse aspires to be.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2012

This is our 5th or 6th trip to Fat Daddy's. There were three of us this time, and we had ribs, pulled pork, turkey, briscut, beans and potato salad. It was all awesome...never had an even average meal here. The ribs fell of the bone and were perfectly smoked. Pulled pork is probably the best I've ever had, and the briscuit and turkey were terrific, especially the turkey. The potato salad was very good, and the beans were what beans are supposed to be, full of big pork chunks. Even the french fries were good. Ate like pigs and came home with a to-go box full, all at a very reasonalbe price. Not to be missed if you are in the valley. My sister in law said "this is what Texas Roadhouse aspires to be". Get new shocks on the car before you go...you'll strain them coming home.

“Amazingly Bad Meat - Service and Sides were good though.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2011

You know I have been told by several folks that Fat Daddy's was a great place, and finally took the time to drive all the way out there on FM 1015. Walking in the place was charming & quaint, kind of like you would expect for an old BBQ joint. Big crowd of folks in there too, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We sat down and a waitress came over promptly to get our drink order. When we ordered our food, it didn't take a minute it seemed for her to return with our food. I had the Brisket and Sausage plate, my friend had the Ribs & Sausage plate. The meat was "Gray" and way over cooked. It tasted ok with a bunch of BBQ sauce on it, but realistically tasted as though it had been prepared several days in advance and just kind of kept warm till ready to use. This was the same way with the Sausage and the Ribs as well. The Potato Salad on the other hand was fresh and very good, more than an ample serving luckily as it would turn out, and the Beans were a good BBQ style bean that you would expect to find. Nice and tender with a very good flavor.

Service was excellent and no complaints there, but I will not be going back unfortunately as I just can't get past the taste of the meat even with the BBQ sauce on it.
