Won't eat at either again due to title of this post. I have driven past their new restaurant several times in the last months, and it looks like it is closed because no cars

“The Real Deal - authentic Mexican food, mostly for the locals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2011

We stopped in on this place in the middle of "downtown" Weslaco on Texas Route 88 a mile or two south of US83 because the parking lot was jammed with pick-up trucks, a good sign to us. The menu is all in Spanish, and most of the staff 'no hable ingles', so be prepared. The menu is basically tacos, but they are very different from those in most so-called Mexican places. The tortillas are fresh made and are soft and tasty. Each serving consists of 6 relatively small corn (mais) tacos or three larger flour (harina) ones. There are lots of choices for the fillings. Our favorites were pollo (chicken), trompero (pork), and mollejo (sweetbreads). The green sauce on the tables is very tasty and not too hot.
