“Nice place for a ladies lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

I enjoy meeting my friends here for wonderful lunches. They have a good selection of salads and sandwiches, but offer much more. And their breads and bakery are wonderful.

“Just another yuppie restaurant............not impressed.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

This is the third time I've eaten here at the Savannah Café and Bakery. The name has changed but food has not. My first impressions are that this "café" is just another yuppie restaurant, with very small portions and very high prices. Food is of average quality but is "dressed up" and plated to look like gourmet dishes. Had chicken Florentine, chicken and spaghetti, club sandwiches, and other hot and cold dishes. Most were either overcooked and bland to the taste. Sandwiches are made with "gourmet" breads which do not add anything to the taste of the sandwiches. Sandwiches like the ones on this menu are to be found anywhere and at much lower cost. The restaurant does its fair share of desserts, with cakes, cookies, pies, cupcakes and many more items on the daily menu. I have tried several of the different types of cakes each time and cupcakes......most are pretty dry. Have to admit they are beautifully decorated but not much substance (taste). Service is nothing to brag about as about all they do is take your order then drop it off at your table........little interaction and not much knowledge about menu items......unless they read it to you off the menu! If you like that yuppie "feel" and atmosphere, and don't mind paying for it, then this is the place for you. As for me and the rest of the human race, I will stick to places that serve up a decent meal for a decent price.

“Very enjoyable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

They have tea room kind of food plus some casseroles like king ranch casserole and larger sandwiches and salads. It has a little bit of a "girl" feel to me. Plus the bakery which is so full of delicious and tempting choices. They have a cooler full of their casseroles which you can take home to bake for your family which are better than the frozen grocery store variety. I really like Magnolia, which is now called Savannah Cafe and Bakery, btw.

“Nice little place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012 via mobile

This is a very clean, well serviced place. While you place your order at the counter (where there is a view of all the bakery goodies) the food is delivered to your table. The chicken salad sandwich is great! The quiche sort of tastes more like a round of scrambled eggs. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
