“Great if you like history and guns”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

This museum has an amazing collection of guns - mostly antique. The displays give quite a thorough history of the Rangers various roles in the state's history, but the wide variety of guns was a sight to see. Some of the guns were so intricately engraved, they were really impressive. If you have no interest in guns, you'll love a lot less of the displays.

“Recommended for all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Being from New England I didn't know a lot about Texas history, visiting the Texas Ranger Museum was very interesting and has great information about the origins of the Texas Rangers and roles throughout the years. I hadn't expected to learn so much! The displays were a little on the gun heavy side, but the old equipment was pretty neat also. Definitely worth a visit!

“A Continuation of Texan Pride”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Texas is very proud of their heritage. This is reflected in many museums around the State. This museum is another example. The movie is excellent! The chronicles depicting individual Rangers is very interesting. There is even a section on Texas Rangers in the movies and TV. Definitely worth a visit while in Waco.

“Unique Experience for Texas History buffs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

I went here first to check on the history of several of my ancestors that had been Texas Rangers. After confirming that family research, we went on to enjoy the vast collection of guns and other Texas items.
