“First Class Customer Service and Accomodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I arrived late on an evening prior to a horse show. The staff was very accomodating, had our keys ready for us, and our room was simply superb.

The next morning, we were in a hurry to get to the horse show and our truck battery was dead. Daryl very kindly brought his own truck over to jump ours outside in the freezing cold. Our truck is very large and took awhile to take a charge. He insisted we go in and grab a quick breakfast. He would get truck started and bring up to front door.

Within 15 minutes, he started truck and drove up to the front the help us on his way.

Will visit again very soon!! Thank you all!!!

I have stayed in virtually every hotel in Waco over the last few years. Hotel Indigo is by far the best in terms of comfort and service. The rooms are spacious and modern and the beds are great. The bathrooms have large walkin showers and plenty of counter space. The best thing about the hotel is the service. Everyone from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. I even had a minor illness and the guest relations manager went outside the hotel and bought me medicine. They didn't even charge me for the pills! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Waco.

We chose this hotel based on its apparent convenience to I-35 as well as the excellent reviews here. Both turned out to be true. The hotel's decor is indeed extremely sleek & modern, perhaps a bit austere for me personally but well done. The room was very large & the beds & pillows so comfortable that we've asked the manager to send us info on where to buy them. We also enjoyed having a mini-fridge as well as a Keurig machine. The bathroom was a wonder - loved the huge walk-in shower! My only concern was that the immediate neighborhood didn't appear to be particularly safe; I did not even consider walking outside at night. However, the convention center is about 6 blocks west, & there are restaurants & shops not far away. People coming to Baylor functions have a great option here!

Room Tip: Try to stay on one of the higher floors for a possible view of the Baylor campus on the east & t...

Thank you for being such a wonderful ambassador for our new Hotel Indigo!

Location, Location, Location everyone appreciates the Indigo's proximity to Baylor University, the Entertainment District of downtown Waco, the museums, parks and soon to be new Baylor Bears Stadium!
Being a Boutique Hotel, everything will be a little nicer, from the pillow top mattresses and rich hardwood floors to the beautifully designed shower and inviting Brazos Bistro & Lounge you're in for a treat!
Being in the more urban area of Waco some people express concerns, but after 10 months of operation there have been absolutely no issues concerning the neighborhood.

We all hope to see you and the Family again soon.

Sincerely,

Daryl Barnes

Why is this only a 3 star? We stayed at the Hotel Indigo in San Antonio two weeks ago and thought it was great. Then we stayed at the Waco Indigo last week and it was even better. I was so impressed with the design of the room that I even took pictures of the bathroom door and handle. Real hardwood floors and moldings, Toto toilets, upscale faucets and excellent furnishings. The pictures do NOT do it justice. The room was so large and comfortable. One of the young women working behind the check-in counter was so friendly and suggested places to see in Waco. We were disappointed in the food at the restaurant but did have a nice chat with the bartender. Nicest hotel we've ever stayed in including the Ritz Carlton, Atlanta.

Could'nt of asked for nicer comments!
To have our Indigo property mentioned in the same sentence as the Ritz Carlton truly is a compliment!
Obviously you are an individual who knows construction and design, your appreciation for the furnishings and fixtures of our rooms makes the Ownerships efforts feel appreciated.
Thank you as well for recognizing Kayla's performance at the front desk; she is a wonderful part of our team and important part of our success.
In regards to our Brazos Bistro, we have just recruited some major talent in our kitchen to insure the consistency you expect and deserve.

Sincerely,

A friend and I went to Waco on business and he reserved a room at this swanky, modern hotel. I have never stayed in Waco before, so I have no point of reference or comparison, but the facility itself is excellent cosmetically. The rooms are ultra modern, from the hardwood flooring to the tasteful furniture. The room had a very nice view and was located close to several college drinking establishments for evening refreshments. We did not try the room service, so I cannot comment on that. The linens were clean and the room smelled fresh. The room rate was a little on the high side when compared to other hotels in Waco, but the quality probably exceeds that of the other establishments, if any of the reviews I've read about the competition are to be believed. With that said, the room rate was equal to the quality of our room, and the fact that it was relatively new. The only negative thing I have to say about our stay was that we had reserved a room with 2 Queen beds and somehow got stuck in a single King room. We called the front desk to report the error and they said that they had no double Queen rooms available. Instead, they brought up a rollaway cot, which was actually very comfortable considering what it was. All in all I had a pleasant stay at the Indigo, and will probably stay again should my travels bring me to Waco.

We are so glad you found our new hotel here in Waco. Many guests don't realize that Indigo Hotels are part of the IHG Family of hotels, which include: InterContinental Hotel, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Candlewood to name a few.
Please except my personal apologies for not having the room type you had planned for.
Keep in mind that when booking your reservation through a 3rd party web-site your room type is not always guaranteed, so we recommend calling the hotel directly where more often than not you will get a better rate and the room type you request.
Take advantage of your Priority Club membership as well when staying at all Hotel Indigos.

Thank you for your kind words,

Daryl Barnes

Just a one night stay as we toured Baylor. Rooms were great, loved the hard wood floors, no yucky carpet. Staff was helpful in directions and local restaurants. The location can not be beat Will look forward to going back and discovering other areas of Waco. The bar and restaurant looked like a fun place for drinks and meals.

Thank you for spending the night with us here at our New Hotel Indigo! We are hearing more and more from our guests on ho much they prefer the rich hardwood floors in their rooms as opposed to other properties where the carpets just don't seem clean and fresh.
We hope you have the opportunity to visit with our exceptional bar staff, Stephanie and Andrew as they are sure to please and entertain!
We look forward to visiting with you on your next visit to Baylor University!

My new favorite place to stay when visiting Baylor! Very close to campus, and it's beautiful, convenient, comfortable, and spacious. I highly recommend it. It has a nice restaurant with excellent food, a beautiful pool and exercise facility, and the lobby has a bright, airy feel to it. Rooms are freshly decorated, bathrooms are lovely, clean and well stocked.

Room Tip: I requested a view room--don't expect to see a beautiful river or anything, but a nice skyline a...
