Good customer service,front desk manager was very professional,his name was Jake and the check out front desk manager too was friendly and professional,her name was lucy..thanks ! i would recommend anyone coming to town to try comfort suites on I-35 before anywhere else...

This hotel is brand new in Waco and gorgeous! It was an independent propety, and they recently spend tons of money renovating the entire hotel and converting to a Comfort Suites. Really beautiful decor, all suite hotel, with free breakfast and an indoor/heated pool. Staff is very friendly and eager to assist. Must check them out if you are coming to Waco...you won't be dissapointed!

This hotel is going to be fabulous once they finish the renovation, however, it was not fabulous to have had to stay there during this time! Two families, with 8 children between us and the indoor pool/hot tub was on everyone's mind - but we find that it is completely closed down. WOW - please, Orchid hotel, you REALLY need to put renovation statuses on your website. For $125 per night, per room, this would have been good information to have. Machines running everywhere, carpet being installed, tile work being done - it was not a great experience. I do have to say, the staff there is wonderful! They were so helpful with extra blankets, pillows, etc. and made sure to keep breakfast refilled for us. Very nice staff.

We recently made reservations for a two night stay at the Orchid Hotel in Waco and were surprised to see the hotel was in the middle of a major renovation. The lobby was gone as was the dining area, pool and fitness center. There was absolutely NO mention of this at the hotel's website at the time of booking or arrival. If this was just an overnight we would have stayed there since the room looked OK, but since we were staying two nights we really didn't want to pay for a hotel room that was in the middle of a major renovation. Although when we first walked in to the lobby there was no one at the front desk, when the attendant showed up he was helpful in getting a room at another hotel for us. Consider staying here in 2013.
