“okay for a cheap hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2006

Crickets are a problem in Waco right now and they had found their way into the room. I didn't mind that too much. What was bad was the "crunchy" ones that had not been vacuumed. I asked that they send someone up but they didn't. I also asked that extra towels be sent up. Again no such luck.

The pool is fine but there are no lights in or around the pool.

The rooms are not as soundproof as they could be.

On a pleasant note. It is easy to get to and just across I-35 from Baylor University.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2006

We only spent one night there and would not go back again. The bathroom was very clean and the bed sheets were clean. The carpeting was in need of a good cleaning or maybe should be replaced. I went down to the front desk just to ask what would be there for breakfast in the morning. She said muffins, donuts, bagels, toast and cereal. The continental breakfast was different than what the front desk had promised, two donuts were left and a few cinnamon raisin bagels at 7:22 am. The biggest problem was the other customers who stayed there. A UHaul took up seven parking spaces, which caused everyone to not be able to park in their appropriate spaces. At midnight and 3:00 am it sounded like elephants running down the outdoor corridor to the snack machines. At 2:00 am a team came home with honking horns, yells and screaming. The birds nesting in trees at night chirped all night long. The music from customers at Jack in the Box drivethrough was annoying. The hotel was so noisy my children couldn't sleep and normally they can sleep through anything.
