“horrible stay one of the worse hotels in Victoria TX”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

one of the worse hotels i could ever stay at. the room was not worth the money it had a rotten smell when u first entered looks like mold is going to develop into the room. it had stains on the carpets, ugly painting on the walls (needs to be remolded badly), also had cracked walls that need to replaced bad (room 107-nonsmoking). the pool needs to be cleaned and their was trash outside that needed to be cleaned up horrible odor and the breakfast was not the best to eat.

This is the most run down, ugly, dirty hotel I have ever stayed in, forced to stay here by my company during relocation or I would have chosen any other hotel! The laundry facility is 4 broken down filthy excuses for washers and driers, the vending machine has expired dried up nasty food in it, the soda machine doesnt work and the owner/manager doesnt have any plans to fix it or fix any of the other things wrong like my shower head is broken and the toilet is so loose you hardly can use it, there is mold growing around the bottom of the tub! The beds are old and drooping, the tv is an old tube type that hardly works if at all! they advertise "free breakfast" LOL! its a dirty coffee pot with stale nasty food, nothing you would call breakfast! The pool is disgusting and they never clean it! The aircon makes weird noises and the water tastes bad! The furniture in the room is nasty dirty you cant even sit on it, i steralized everything myself and cleaned the whole room with disinfectant wipes and spray before I could even stand to be in the room! I bought air purifier to try and clean the air in the room! Overall the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for any reason except for demolition projects! I will be spreading the word to try and prevent other travelers from a very bad experience! Nuff said!

Room Tip: Go to another reputable hotel and save yourself from a very bad experience!

Dirty! Do I need to say more? No breakfast as advertised. Not unless you consider stale cereal and rotten milk breakfast. Pool look more like a swamp. Nasty smell in room (non smoking). Beds old and needs to be replaced as the old dirty carpet with more stains then clean areas. In room fridge didn't keep anything cold. T.V. looked as it fell out of a 80's time warp. Sleaze bag Motel not Hotel. Don't bring your family here. And if you have any personal hygiene save yourself the frustration!

Room Tip: All rooms are sh@#ty!

Everybody seems to have a story about this one motel they stayed in this one time when out of town on business this one time. WELL I HAVE MINE and i am going to share it with you.

My company booked me for a week here thru orbitz. Apparently the confirmation didn't go thru or they over booked and blamed the "travel agent" orbitz uses to book. Luckily they had a room (smoking) available for the night (Victoria is full because of the oil companies and a large construction project in town). I was also offered a jacuzzi suite but always found those to be humid and mildewy so i opted smoking room. AND even more luckily(?) for me i only had to endure one night. If it wasn't for the fact that the temps were in the 30's and no other room in town that night i would have demanded my money back and slept in my car.

I have been to old motels that look run down but are actually nice in the rooms. This place was NOT the exception. I was immediately hammered with the smell of mildew, a dead animal and cigarette when i opened the door. I am not kidding, it actually smelled like something died and rotted a bit in there. I turned on the exhaust fan, left the door open and full blast on the A/C fan to let the room air out. I eventually i got used to the smell. The paint job on the walls was sloppy with runs and drips over the trim. The lights were dim except for the light over the table that emitted a annoyingly bright bluish white light that is not unlike a street lamp. I LOL'd at the fact the smoke detector was gone with the wires just hanging there with no attempt to escutcheon the hole in the ceiling (which i am sure violates a state regulation). The secondary lock was not functional because the part that is bolted to the jamb is missing which i am sure violates some other state regulation.

The tub had a crack in it that most likely let water get under the tub and was most likley the cause of the mildew smell. The death smell was most prominent from under one of the beds. The carpet needed to be remediated by a secret government agency. The beds were comfy but I never really got comfortable because the comforter....i couldn't imagine what that thing has been through and a nagging feeling that bed bugs were going to drink my dry. I made it a point to keep my luggage off the floor and as far away from the bed as possible in case of bed bugs because it really seemed like a distinct posibility..

I never checked out the breakfast...i couldn;t check out fast enough.

I cannot stress this enough: Stay here only if you have to. If you don;t believe me....think everything i wrote here is made up? or over exagerated? then book a night in room 121. With any luck they have some corporate hierarchy that will read this and see for themselves and correct this Super Fund site.

Room Tip: anywhere but here

we booked this motel from Orbitz, everything about the room was old and not clean. The smoke detectors were ripped out. there were no hair dryers. the counter top in the bathroom had brown discolorations all over it. If we hadn't already paid for this, we would not have stayed there! Tje furniture in general was very old and dirty. the toilet was oblong with a round seat on it. It's obvious they are not taking caer of this establishment. I think Orbitz should not advertize this place at all. No tissue in the room either. we asked for it at the desk and it was never provided. Asked for extra towels amd was told there weren't any.

My company and I stayed here and we were definitely satisfied. The staff was friendly, and the service was a little slow, but never failed to meet our needs. The rooms were just paints, the pool was renovated, and the showers were clean. On top of all that, we had a delicious eggs and waffle breakfast. You definitely see us again! Thanks!!!

We stayed at this hotel because it was advertised on expedia with the only reasonably priced hotel in the city. Its not worth the money. Even if the rate is free you are far better staying in your car. Ew. Filthy. Stinky. Smelled musty and nasty. The bathroom was filthy. I was not sure about the sheets. If you do decide to stay here, make sure you bring your flip flops to shower in. The complimentary soaps and shampoos are all labelled with other hotels ie- econo lodge. The pool looked like slough water. The exterior is dilapitated and needs renovations. To the owners: CLEAN YOUR HOTEL!!!!! ITS UNSANITARY!!!!
