We drove to Van Horn from Bandera, Texas on Sunday May 6. I made handicap reservations for this nights stay. The room was restored to as new in 1930 and had a roll-in shower, which was quiet nice. It was on the 3rd floor however, and needed the elevator and a ''long' walk to reach. I probably should have unloaded my electric scooter, but the exercise was good for me. They even allowed us to have our little Yorkie stay with us for a nominal additional fee.
The restaurant on site had dinner that was excellent. I had the veal chop and the wife had the special prime rib. Both were above average, and of the quality of a major hotel in a major city.
WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN NEXT TRIP.
