“Wonderful family fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Caldwell Zoo is a beautifully landscaped, well cared for zoo with wonderful walking paths and great animal exhibits. A lovely morning or afternoon outing for people of all ages. Do note that the uphill pathways may be difficult for those with physical limitations.

“Field Trip!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I have always gone several times a year except for the last due to illness. My children grew up visiting just about every week or so. When they were old enough to go to school, I returned to teaching elementary school which afforded me the opportunity to go each year with another group of students. Great place to spend the day with your kids or for a date!

“Nice zoo...office help could be friendlier...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

The zoo itself is nice, shady, good selection of animals. Enjoyed the little cafe with our grandchildren as well. The ticket booth was very friendly and amenable, the office not so much. The young woman we did business with when we rented a wagon was not exactly rude, but not welcoming either...a little Texas hospitality goes a long way with visitors from other cities, folks...really, the only reason I didn't give this pretty zoo a 5.

“Nice Zoo for a Smaller City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Reasonable price, well laid out - easy to walk - can be done in 1 - 2 hours. 250 species with many African large animals although somewhat lacking in primates. Also North and South American species, aquariums, petting pen, cafe and gift shop. Limited hours? (our ride almost got locked out from picking us up).
