“The BEST in Mexican Food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We are new to Tyler, TX, and kept driving by a restaurant called Chuy's that ALWAYS had it's huge parking lot packed with cars. Curiosity finally got the best of us, thank goodness, and we stopped for lunch. What a treat! The single-sized combo fajita (steak & chicken) waas enough for both of us and was the best we've ever eaten. Steak that really tasted like steak, instead of the mystery meat used in so many Mexican places. And wonderful, tender & juicy chicken. Sides galore:onions & bell peppers sizzling on the skillet with the meats, plus rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce & tomatoes, whatever you have ever had with fajitas on two separate plates/bowls.

“Great First Visit!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We gave Chuy's a few months to settle in before we tried it out. Maybe we shouldn't have waited, it was great!
The hostess tried to seat the two of us in the corner of the back room where there was a party going on. We took ourselves to the bar dining room where the atmosphere was much more inviting.
Our waitress was great. She was attentive and informative. When we told her it was out first visit she brought out a plate with a sample of all of Chuy's sauces. What a concept!
I had the chile relleno (my gauge of Mexican restaurants) and my wife had the chicken enchiladas.
I also had the Texas Martini, a shaker full of Margarita. It was all very good. We will be back.

“Worth the drive”

Best TexMex in East Texas. This was our first visit. Everything was wonderful. Be sure to try the Jalapeño Ranch. Get there early. Fills up fast.

“The food was yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013 via mobile

This was our second visit here. The first time it was just ok. However our second visit was much better it wasn't as busy and the food was excellent as well as the service. Can't wait to go back! Try the creamy jalapeño sauce.

“Damn good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

Its close by and about 3 miles from hotel. The customer service is positive and totally fast. I would recommend the Chicken fajitas and the Green Chicken Enchiladas. And dont forget the creamy jalapeno and salsa.
