Description: Bringing the best of the backyard to the restaurant scene When award winning, celebrity chef Kent Rathbun created the gourmet backyard cuisine concept, some scoffed. Others thought it was crazy enough that it might just work. Well as it turned out, Chef Kent was onto something and his unique concept soon became an award winner too - a Nation's Restaurant News Hot Concept! Award winner. What exactly is gourmet backyard cuisine? It relies on fresh, seasonal ingredients of the highest quality. It uses recipes that are familiar and loved. It combines the two, elevating both to a level that's comforting, yet unexpected at the same time. Lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch and Sunday night family-style or regular service dinner -every meal is simpler than you'd expect from an Iron Chef America winner and better than you've ever had in any backyard or restaurant.

“Sophisticated yet casual & excellent food, service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Another great experience at Jaspers - this time for lunch and it can not be beat.

Nice lunch selection of dishes; we had great salads and literally one of the best rueben's ever. Hard to beat New York's amazing rueben sandwiches but I believe Jaspers did it hands down.

Prices are reasonable at lunch as well as at dinner.

Excellent service with attentive waiter and manager on site - even at lunch.

Not too crowded and Jaspers is a perfect place to meet friends for lunch in a classy, yet comfortable setting. Will return again and again.

“Great Happy Hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

My wife and I stopped by Jasper's to indulge in their Happy Hour. I was very glad we decided to come to this place. We were able to get a seat right at the bar and did not have to suffer outside on the patio like some others. The bartenders were very friendly and took good care of us.

I started with the Happy Daddy martini which was great. It was nice and refreshing on a warm afternoon. I also tried their dirty martini which came with blue cheese stuffed olives. I tasted my wife's drink as well and it was good. I cannot remember what the name of her drink was, but it was like an orange creamsicle martini.

After a couple of cocktails, we decided to sample some of the appetizers they offer on the happy hour menu. I chose the lettuce wraps and she wanted the goat cheese. Both of these were good selections. The lettuce wraps were nice and fresh and served with a tasty peanut sauce for dipping on the side. The goat cheese was also good and a large portion. It was very rich and definitely something you want to share.

The best part about coming here is everything on the happy hour menu is only $5. You cannot beat that deal. The drinks were very good and had plenty of liquor in them. I was feeling them after only a couple. The food is fantastic and the portions are big. The restaurant is beautiful and very relaxing. It was perfect to waste away a few hours on an afternoon. I will definitely be returning for future visits. This may be my new favorite spot at Market Square.

“Great ambiance, ok food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

We went to Jasper's before a concert and was not at all impressed. Like all other Woodlands eateries, it was pricey - but too pricey for the food quality. At those prices you're better off going to Kirby's. Service was good, they have a children's menu (same as any other restaurant: spaghetti/burger/grilled cheese/pizza). If you're there at happy hour, stay at the bar area for happy hour drink prices - you pay full price for drinks in the dining area. The only thing that was good about this outing was the location and ambiance. If I go back I'd only be going for drinks rather than dining.
