My wife and I tried this delightful place for dinner and we were so impressed. The atmosphere is very relaxing with a mixture of people for dinner, dessert and coffee and some just for drinks. We started with chips with guac and salsa, both of which were made at the restaurant. My wife thought they were a little on the spicy side but I didn't notice. The ordering system was creative too; instead of sitting at a table, you take a menu, decide what you want, then go up to the front to order (sort of like a Panera or Chipotle). My wife got the meatball sandwich with sweet potato fries which she loved. I had the pot roast. This came with vegetables, potatoes, a large salad and garlic bread. All of it was wonderful. The roast was so tender I cut it with just a fork. Also, the portions you are given are very generous; neither of us could finish. However, that did not stop us from ordering dessert. We ordered a slice of turtle cheesecake and one of hummingbird cake. I had never heard of this before but it is a banana spice cake with pineapple and pecans. Think carrot cake texture, without the carrots. All in all it was a great time. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the mood was lively and inviting and the food was delicious. We will certainly be going back soon.
