“Perfect breakfast and lunch (tres bien!)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Very nice place to have breakfast or lunch; nice French pastry, omelets, croissants (also the chocolate ones), etc. Good cup of coffee or cappuccino. The place has limited outdoor space and is kind of small; in the weekend it can get crowded and the line to order/pay can take 10 minutes or so. The atmosphere is good, feels European and French even. Will definitely come back from time to time.

“Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast and certainly did not go away disappointed. On the contrary, as we were eating we felt as if we were actually back in Paris at a local bakery trying to savor every bite. Everything was incredibly delicious and fresh. Afterwards, I grabbed some additional Croissants to take to my co-workers. They all Loved them and asked to bring them daily. This is the Best bakery you will find the entire Houston market area. The owners are actually from Paris and have thoughtfully brought a taste of Parisian cuisine with them. Thank God they did!

“delicious croissant!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Honestly the omelette looked and tasted very amateur but the croissant was divine! Coffee was good and crowd was very well mannered and nice! The server/owners son was polite and friendly and apologized in advance because our breakfast was going to be a little wait due to the weekend crowd. He took time to come back to the table and ask us a little about where we are from and how we like everything! Would love to go back!

“A True Taste of France after a real recent visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

After a genealogy lecture, my wife and I stopped in to the Gourmet Bakery Café in the back of The Woodlands for a quick lunch. Interestingly we had just returned from a 3-week vacation in France. The French family who run this bakery and café were as welcoming and friendly as always and the food was super. We noticed how it has become a gathering place for a real international crowd in The Woodlands. We heard French, Spanish, "British English", one unknown language (maybe Portuguese?), and "Texan", all by the same lunch crowd! My wife had the LE PROVENÇAL sandwich with PORTABELLA MUSHROOM, SPINACH, GOAT CHEESE, PESTO AND FIG SPREAD. I opted with the Texan sandwich with HAM, SMOKED BACON, SCRAMBLED EGG, LETTUCE AND TOMATO. Both were wonderful. We finished with an absolutely delicious house-made lemon tart and Cafe Au Lait and Cappuccino. The cappuccino was one of the best cups I have ever had. It is clear why this has become such a popular place.

“True Neighborhood Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

The owners are French and this bakery/cafe has a European flare. If you are in a hurry, plan on takeout rather than eat in. But you are really missing a great experience if you rush out. The food is excellent and the family is warm and friendly. It is a blessing to our neighborhood.
