“Comfortable luxury in the Center of the Woodlands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

We stayed just one night and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the Waterway location and the Woodlands Mall. The initial greeting by the valet service and bellmen signaled a good experience at this hotel was ahead. The front desk personnel were anxious to please and we were upgraded to a waterway view room. The room was clean and comfortable and typical of an upscale Marriott property. We did not have to venture far on the waterway walk to find a restaurant to our liking and were glad we did not have to get back in the car to find a meal. Upon checkout we were promptly assisted with our bags and our car was ready and waiting for us.
We really appreciated the level of personal service and we hope to return here again.

Room Tip: Be sure and get specific directions to the hotel before you exit Interstate 45 to the Woodlands. Fin...

We decided to splurge and stay right on the Waterway while visiting our son with the hopes of walking everywhere. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. It was an expensive, but lovely room. For that price, WiFi and parking should be included. We did enjoy the lobby bar - the bartenders were great. Next time the weather will cooperate and we can enjoy the outside activities too!

We decided to stay at this hotel to see a concert at the nearby Pavilion. The hotel was very comfortable. The service was impeccable. The valet helped unload our bags and asked our last name. He then introduced us to the front desk and bellman. There were two people resembling managers in the lobby to help direct people and answer questions. The female's name was Ling Ling. She has the most beautiful smile and is so engaging. It is as if she lives to answer your questions with a bright happy smile. Everyone was terrific. It was a great experience. Will love to stay here again!!! The drinks at the bar were kind of pricey but they were well made.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Water. It's a lovely view.

April 20 th Stayed here overnight for a concert @ Cynthia Woods. Being a Marriott point holder, the front desk upgraded my daughter and I to the Presidental Suite. Holy wow!!! Very nice of Marriott to do this!! Great view of the waterway, and easy access to the concert. All I can say is Thank you Marriott!

I stayed here for one night in April, flying out of HIA the following day. The rooms are clean, nicely appointed and fairly comfortable.

I despise hotels that charge you to park, so I will leave it at that.

Restaurants, mall and bars within walking distance.

Very clean area of town.

Room Tip: There are other places in the area that DO NOT charge you to park your car. I find that irritating a...

This was the second time we stayed in this hotel in as many years. As we previously experienced, the rooms were clean and well appointed, and the staff was friendly with a focus on customer satisfaction. My wife had breakfast via room service while I was attending a meeting and she found the food well prepared and attractively served. This is a great hotel in the middle of The Woodlands Mall.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 8th floor were quiet. Use the valet parking; while it costs $18.00, it is well worth i...

This hotel has been the location for a SPE conference for several years now. I recently stayed there for 3 nights.
In brief:
the rooms are clean and very well kept.
The restaurant and the bar are nice and the service is very good as well.
the location is very convenient and pleasant to the eye.
A little far from Houston downtown, so if you are dong business @ The Woodlands, its great, otherwise think twice cause its a 45-60 minutes drive to DT.
The one thing that really made me upset, is that even though you pay anywhere from 200-300$/night for a room, they still charge you for the internet service, an additional 24$/day....this is really nonsense....they might just as well include it on the room rate and not let the customer see this.
The manager is very customer oriented.
