“Trip to Zabcikville, Tx”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

We took a road trip to Green's restaurant/sausage house in Zabcikville,Tx -(Temple area) and had sauerkraut. It was very good. The group went next door to the meat market/store and bought items to bring home. We enjoyed all the good food. I believe the sauerkraut is served only on certain days, Friday/ Saturday so you might call/email them to be sure. Yes, we would go back. They are on the web.

“Poor Customer Service, but good food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

I've been coming here for over 25 years...bakery items are excellent. CFS & the sausage/sauerkraut plate on Fri./Sat. are really good. The only problem is the poor customer service. It you aren't a regular, than you are pretty much ignored...unfortunately it's been this way forever! Too bad; but obviously, it hasn't stopped me from going there. No Southern hospitality here.

“German influence in Texas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

My motorcyle group did a planned ride here for breakfast. There were about 25 of us who walked into the restaurant at about 9:30 AM. The waitresses were very sweet and hurried to take care of us. Very well known for their sausage and kolaches.....and they have a wide variety of both that you can order to eat there or head over to the store/cafe/bakery and take some home with you.
I had coffee, water, and a country omelet with two pieces of whole wheat toast for under $7 bucks. The restaurant is pretty big on the inside, and there were other bikers who came in after we did.
Very enjoyable visit, and I will go back and get some sausage and kolaches to bring home next time!

“It's better than the storefront lets on...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Zabcikville (not Temple!) - hard to pronounce, hard to spell, but worth finding if you are anywhere near! Sausage burgers are to die for, and they sell them in the meat market for those of us who moved away! I took a 6-pack home & will slowly ration them out until I can make another trip from East TN back down to TX. I just don't know of any other place you can even find a sausage burger...
We also get the dried sausage & rat cheese to take as snack for the drive home. They are great going down the road treats. Lots of things to browse & buy in the store area. Shopping before or after your meal is almost as good as the meal itself. I wouldn't miss out on either one!
