First, I would have left this hotel but the length of time I needed (28 days) limited which hotels were available. Some events were going on in town that elimanted them due to prior bookings. Several times I had to point out that trash cans were not being emptied, not just my room but community cans such as at the pool, laundry room and hallways. I use the fitness center daily. After a few days I pointed out that the water cooler was empty and needed replaced. Why should a guest need to point that out? Well, because they don't service that room, the trash started to overflow the can and a water bottle that a guest left in there did not move for days. When I brought it up again the front desk told me that maintenance usually just refills the jug in a bathtub. I had to point out that cigerrette butts and beer cans were floating in the pool at 5PM, how did it go that long and staff never noticed? Hallways and stairwells aren't vacuumed. I had to point out that the same dead bugs have been there for over a week. The next day they were gone, but only to be replaced by new dead bugs which remained through my checkout. Finally, I went to get a cup of orange juice at breakfast to discover mold it it. I pointed it out and the woman on duty argued with me that "there was no way that came out of the orange juice". Seeing how staff worked and the don't care attitude I waited for the next shift and asked for them to look at something with me. That individual came over to the juice dispenser and I unscrewed the dispenser to reveal that in fact it was over grown with mold. I will say that when I initially pointed it out there were several other guests having breakfast who immediately took notice. I have been told, beit it may be rumor, that this place is under foreclosurer. I can see why. I filed a complaint with the state health department after the breakfast run in. I don't know what if anything will come out of that but enough was enough.
If only for a night or two I am sure you can put up with it, you get what you pay for.

We are very sorry that your stay was not satisfactory. We have hired new housekeepers, front desk agents, someone to inspect rooms, and a new front desk supervisor. Our staff is now committed to customer service and guest satisfaction. We clean the halls and stairwells daily. The breakfast area is also maintained and cleaned properly. The pool area also is checked and cleaned every day. Fresh water is bought and used to replace old bottles in the cooler when it is empty. We value your input and feedback. Thank you for helping us to be aware of problems, and thus make improvements to our hotel. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make our guests stays better.
