The area around the hotel is very nice. There is an H.E.B very close that was in walking distance. I saw many people walking there. There are a lot of food options and restaurants around the area. The Hotel is really nice. They offered breakfast in the morning, however it is not complimentary. The facilies are nice. I took advantage of the workout room which had a lot in it compared to some other hotels. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I would recommend it to a friend.

I was very satisfied with the service of the staff and overall conditon of the room. The only problem was the 15 blowers that were operating in the elevator area. Apparently there was a plumbing problem a day or 2 before my arrival. Excessive noise and a musty smell in the area. Overall a very positive experience.

This hotel is consistent in quality and friendliness. As a regular customer I am greeted by name and have built friendships with several of the staff. That's not to say they treat new guests differently. I have watched them start new friendships each time I am there.

Been here plenty of times from when it first opened to just recently. It's not quite as fresh and brand new as a few years ago but it still fits the bill.

The lobby is a beaut, which moves well to the the rooms that are spacious and comfortable. There never has been an issue with the staff -- save for one time when an assistant manager knocked on my door a few minutes before checkout (kind of a pet peeve; if you set a checkout time, I will leave at that time if it fits my schedule, if you want people out earlier, make it an 11:57 a.m. checkout).

The noise factor depends on the room but, for the most part, never an issue and usually I sleep soundly.

So clean, friendly, good sleep --- that's pretty much what I look for. The rate, like many hotels in that area, has soared recently, making it a not-every-time stay, however.

The hotel staff was wonderful and very professional. I enjoy the entire process of our event considering I had 13 teenagers with me. The food was wonderful and the restaurant was clean. My interaction with the management staff was friendly and professional.

Have stayed at this Hilton twice. Find it is very hard to get a good nights rest. Therefore i am not recommending this location to my colleagues.

The big issue is the "InnCom" room thermostat. In interests of saving a couple bucks on the electric bill the thermostat will not go below 74 degrees. Oh you can set it less then that but it overrides that. I find it really hard to get a rest when the room is hot. AC unit is the type that is under the window and had a really loud fan.
The exercise area is ok- nothing special. It was at the end of a hallway past a hunch of rooms they were working on with tool carts cluttering the hallway. But after working out to come back to a hot room was not fun.
The only area where it is cool is in the lobby where the employees are. Desk people are ok. Quick check in but no real effort to interact or greet you when you come and go.

Wireless speed was ok but lost connection at times. Room was decently clean other then some hair in the bathroom. Mattress is certainly on the hard side.

I really liked this hotel, and would definitely stay here again if I got the same good rate.

I booked from the UK a couple of weeks prior to arrival, via Expedia, and got a room rate of £60 a night, which was excellent for two people. Breakfast was not included. Internet was included.

The hotel has a really nice look and feel to it - it's fresh and clean and modern and very very well maintained, with a nice open feel to the reception area with lounge area (fire - even in a heatwave!) and eating area (which we did not use, as we always ate out).

Reception staff were very good, helpful and friendly.

Hotel was quite busy with what seemed to be a very large family reunion, but we mostly used the place as a sleepover as we were visiting Sugarland for family reasons, so the busy-ness did not bother us. It might have done if we'd needed to eat there or use the public areas.

Our room was very good, clean and comfortable. One gripe - no room safe! There was a safety deposit box - free - at reception, but it was only for very small things like a wallet, phone or small camera. Our large camera and laptop had to stay hidden under our bed. This isn't good! All hotels should have room safes as standard, capable of holding a lap top (this isn't always true even of really flash hotels - the New York Plaza room last year could not fit a lap top in its room safe!)

The room had both a fridge and a microwave - real plus points. Also, there is a (HEB?) supermarket next door to the hotel, across the carpark, which you could walk to if you wanted groceries etc, which we did (milk for coffee!). There is a Walmart across the road (can't cross by foot unless you want to get squashed, it's a highway!), and also some eateries just beyond the card park as well (we didn't try them as we ate in Sugarland itself.)

The hotel is about a five/ten minute drive from Sugarland and First Colony mall. Parking at the hotel was free.

We wanted to stay an extra night, and the front desk made us a price of $149 (higher than the original Expedia price, but $50 less than what they first quoted us for the extra night) so that was good.

There was an outside pool which we never had time to use.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you want somewhere within short driving distance of Sugarland, and even shorter to Sugarland airport (though surely anyone flying in to Sugarland airport is going to be FAR too rich to stay in a Hilton Garden Inn!!!!!!)
