“We LOVED it!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2006

First of all, this place books up fast. So call at least a month or two ahead. I called in Aug. for an Oct 21-23 reservation, and they were booked, except they happened to have one cancellation. So we took that room, and it happens to be their best room in the Main House-- the Sunrise Suite. We found out later while checking out on Sunday that that room was already booked til January. You see the sunrise from the bed in the morning, it is great. The food was gourmet and delicious! The service was great, the rooms very clean and the views from our veranda and sunroom were amazing! And, I even got to feed the cute llama they have on the grounds. We also did the $40 full course dinner on Sat night and it was delicious. I highly, highly recommend this place, we will be back. The couple who owns Rose Hill is extremely helpful with any questions you have about what to do in the area. There are also many wineries in the area to tour as well. I would definitely recommend Becker Vineyards as well. Rose Hill Manor is fabulous for a couple's romantic getaway, or a girl's weekend in the TX hill country.

My daughter and I just returned from a weekend stay at this lovely manor in the scenic hill country of Texas. We discovered it through their beautiful website and hoped it would live up to our expectations. We were delighted to find that the website hardly does it justice........ the beauty and peaceful tranquility cannot be translated online. The purpose of our trip was antique hunting but we found it hard to tear ourselves away from the cozy, comfort of our well-appointed cottage. We enjoyed being away from the traffic of Fredericksburg, loved the country atmosphere. The ambience created by the extremely gifted proprietors Patty and Bob is at a level most Inn owners only dream of achieving. Outstanding cuisine, extensive wine cellar, friendly service and reasonable prices will bring us back again and again. Advice to Guests: Don't waste your time taking the 15-minute drive into Fredericksburg for dining..... You'll not find a better dinner anywhere in the area. Kudos to the chef!

  • Liked — Clean, well-appointed rooms, very friendly service

Have stayed at the Rose Hill Manor two separate occasions. Had a perfectly enjoyable visit both times. It is far enough out in the country for piece and quiet and the in house restaurant is superb.
It is close enough to drive into Fredericksburg for shopping and to check out their restaurants. Can't say enough about the comfortable and well appointed rooms, food, and the friendly owners.

Rose Hill Manor is a wonderful place to stay when you visit the Hill Country of Texas. It is a small bed and breakfast in the plantation style. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Views are superb. Food is of extremely high caliber--both the gourmet breakfasts, which are included, and the evening meals in their restaurant, Austin's. Chef Jason has a magic touch. Rooms are beautifully decorated. We stayed in one of the Herb Garden Cottages. We will definitely go again.

Fantastic accomodations and hospitality. Breakfasts are great and you must have dinner at least one night. The surrounding beauty (especially at night) and the serene quite will make you want to stay there more often. Patti and Bob have done a great job with the entire property and their four llamas are an interesting addition.

My two friends and I were welcomed warmly by the owner of beautiful Rose Hill Manor, a lovely bed and breakfast with an exceptional restaurant
that is available to the the public. We were treated like royalty.

The dining area is an glass-enclosed porch that offers serene views of the Hill Country. Table linens, candles, flowers, and beautiful furnishings create a luxurious ambiance that sets the stage for the delicious food that comes from their chef. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

The warm service, the elegant surroundings, and the wonderful food created a memorable evening.
