I sincerely wish we had read these reviews before staying here. We stayed in Country Cabin. It is over 200 years old, which makes the architecture very interesting. However, the owners do not take care of this cabin at all. As mentioned in previous reviews, the front and back door are not sealed and have cracks in them. This allows bugs to come in freely. We saw bugs everywhere, including wasps, huge spiders, crickets in our bed, and 2 SCORPIONS inside the cabin!!! One of the scorpions had babies on her back... so disgusting. We had to spray Raid inside and out. The bed was old with a huge dip in the middle of it, so that we both kept rolling into the dip as we slept. The water has a metallic taste and smell, so that we decided to brush our teeth with bottled water. The toilet, bathtub, and sink are BROWN from rust. They only left us half a roll of toilet paper, so we had to go out and buy our own. The kitchen is small with poor quality kitchenware - the only knife to cook with is a rusty steak knife. The grill is not functional - the grate had a big hole in it. Also, there is cow dung literally EVERYWHERE on the property and a dead cow carcass. I know it is a ranch, but if the owners knew that guests were coming for a holiday weekend, you would think they would have someone come clean some of it up and fumigate the cabin. We are very laid back people and chose this cabin because it looked interesting and rustic, but this was TOO rustic for me. We noticed that the couple staying in the cabin next to us left after one night, and all of the other cabins (5 of them) appeared to be empty on Memorial Day Weekend. That says a lot. The website and brochure make this property look much better than it really is. I would not recommend this B&B to anyone.
