“Simple Pleasures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

My husband booked a night for me here to start off a busy week. Everything was wonderful! Relaxing environment, comfortable room and bath, amazing breakfast and Donna and Scott were delightful hosts! I loved sitting out on the back patio reading. I stayed in the Simple Pleasures room and will definitely return when I have a chance. And preferably to stay longer with my husband!

We cannot say enough good things about the Lazy Days and Scott & Donna. From the moment we called to check availability for two nights, we were treated like family coming to visit and relax. No pressure, just good room, bed, bath, conversation, food, and total kick-back relaxation. We hesitate to say too much for fear it will always be booked, because we will definitely be coming back.
Nice, Large Log Home, very quiet. The Cabins look good too. We liked staying in the Main House.

Room Tip: Call ahead, and decide if you want to stay in a cabin or in the Main House. We stayed in the Escape...

First off the cabin is just beautiful, not to much clutter and not to little on the decorations, very roomy as well. The bathroom was loaded up with towels, shampoos, conditioners and lotions that you may need for your stay there as well as a hair dryer. A very large closet found in the hallway to keep all your things nice and hung as well as extra pillows and blankets. The bedroom was very comfortable and to my likening no tv to keep you awake at night. the living room was very comfortable and the kitchen was to be found with a stove, dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker and all the goodies to go with it as well as a refrigerator. front porch and back had chairs for sitting in and the back yard was closed in with a privacy fence. the hot tub was outstanding and my favorite part as well. Breakfast was brought to us each morning in a picnic basket with fresh fruit and OJ and the owners are simply the sweetest people. Cant wait to come back here again this summer.

Room Tip: their website has great pictures...

We have stayed with Scott and Donna three times this year. We have a grandaughter at Tarleton and we go to see her and her activities. The B&B is GREAT, the food is Great. We plan on several more trips this year and the next 3 years. Both the cabins and rooms in the house are GREAT. We have stayed in both, but on our last trip last weekend, there was 7 of us, that involved a rollaway bed, No Problem for Scott or Donna, We loved the group breakfast, lots of nice people. It is much better than home, Donna is a Chef not a cook and Scott sets the table and is her assistance. The rooms are clean and confortable. They provide a covered patio, with gas grill, and pool. We brought our own steaks and grilled and sat out all three times, Great Fun, close to the college, only minutes to our granddaughter and her friends that easily find there way to eat. Good place to stay.

Anytime I am near Stephenville from now on, I will demand to stay at Lazy Days B&B. We had a little cabin with a huge bed, couch, TV, kitchen, micro, and big bathroom. The cabin was very roomy and perfect and extremely clean and tidy. The owner / host, Donna, was extremely accommodating and nice. She also made us an excellent, what I would call gourmet, breakfast (2 poached eggs wrapped in bacon, 2 muffins, various cut fruits, hot beverages, and juice). This was included in the price...unbeatable! Stephenville is small, and it is just a minute outside of town on a country road, with a wonderful wonderful view of the country. She also has the cutest country decor outside and inside. There are multiple cabins and then a house to stay in as well. We went in the house to pay the next morning, and it was just as roomy, and clean, and very cute as well. It is a great place for a couple (cabin) or a large group of people to gather. It is an excellent place to get away, or to introduce people to rural life (could see livestock from our place). Do not hesitate...stay here!

I come to Stephenville regularly to visit my best friend. I cannot even count how many times I have stayed at Lazy Days but it is always the place I choose when I come to visit. I have stayed in all of the cabins and guest rooms at least once: the Lone Star, Duke's Cabin, and Dreamscape, as well as the 2 guest rooms in the house. All are uniquely appointed and very comfortable. The cabins have mini-kitchens stocked with dishes and a few pots and pans and are great for a longer-term stay. They all have comfortable beds, soft linens, comfortable sitting areas, cable TV, and amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, coffee for the coffee maker and non-dairy creamer. Donna and Scott are great hosts and Donna always makes sure her guests get enough to eat for breakfast!!

The only drawback is Internet connection. Even though it is technically available in all the cabins (except the Lone Star) it is slow and unreliable. If you need Internet connection for business, you are better off staying in one of the guest rooms in main house. The cabins just seem to be a bit too far from the main house to get a reliable connection. But if you need Internet, you are welcome to go the main house and log onto your laptop from there.

Room Tip: If you want your own private hot tub, choose the Lone Star cabin. It also has a bedroom separate fro...
