What makes an Italian restaurant more than just great food, great service, and immersive decor? It's atmosphere! Atmosphere that's generated by laughter, often clinking glasses, and aromas to die for. Atmosphere generated by the culinary skills of a master chef and the happy faces of a wait staff so very proud of the dishes they serve that they treat you like family. This Buca di Beppo is a place of refuge, of comfort and friendship. A trip back in time to when you were a guest at aunt Sophie's or cousin Frankie's or that little Italian place that you loved so much when you were growing up.
This last visit was our third time eating here, and we went with another couple. Usually it is family or friends. We ate at the table in the kitchen. What more can I say ... for a little while we left the freeway world outside and were reminded of why we used to love those little family owned Italian restaurants in Houston, Boston, and New York.
