“Good eats”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

The first time I ate at Snuffer's Restaurant & Bar in Southlake was great. I was really hungry but played it safe by ordering a hot dog with sone chili cheese fries. They looked so good that my family helped me finish the nice portion that was served. We returned several months later and i ordered a club sandwich. At first I thought ...hmmm nothing special about that but this sandwich was server with a honey mustard sauce that was devine. Hats off to Snuffer's and the excellent service that came with the excellent food!

“Salt laden food and out of date menu”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

We used to love Snuffers but our last visit was disappointing. The menu has not been updated in years (that includes the laminated physical menu.) The fried food is coated with a dense flour that makes everything fried chewy and spongy rather than crispy. Everything is over salted including the burgers. The decor is dated and our booth had cracked seats. Service was friendly.

“Decent bar on the square”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

This is a straight up bar food heaven on the square. Good stop for a cold beer, burgers, hot dogs and wings. All of which are tasty and fresh by the way. Server was nice...but either her or the kitchen was slow on this day. However, food was hot and worth the price. Bring your kids, everyone else does. Good guy place hike your spouse shops.

“Sports Bar on the Square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Typical sports bar atmosphere. Seat yourself and grab a menu. Great cheese fries, burgers, the usual. For going off the regular burger or hot dog idea, the grilled chicken is a standout choice. Several in my crowd choose it above the burger every time. It's a good option for the area if you are looking for this type of fare.

“One of the best burgers around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

This is the suburban outpost of the original Snuffer's in Dallas. It is in a shiny new fake downtown shopping center (Southlake Town Center), so it lacks the sort of dive-quality that makes the original Greenville Avenue location the attraction it is.

I've never had a problem with the service or the food. Both are consistently good. Snuffer's has updated its menu over the years to add non-beef alternatives, as well as smaller portions.

But if you are looking for a good green chili cheese burger and a cold beer, it's hard to b eat Snuffer's. There are other burger joints in the area, such as Kincaid's (down the street) and Twisted Root (Bedford). Snuffer's offers the best combination of value, service, food, and atmosphere.

Yes, there are WAY too many kids there, especially on the weekends. But hey, it's a burger joint. The kids aren't going to be hanging out at Brio or the Cheesecake Factory (both next to Snuffer's).
