After our stay in this hotel I have some mixed feelings.
Rooms are spacious and clean , free breakfast was also OK.
Nicely decorated lobby and helpful staff at the reception.
Swimming pool and hot tub were also good. It did not bother us to walk to the beach several minutes.
My major complain is that the ceiling isolation system of the hotel building is bad.
You can perfectly well hear the footsteps of the guests who stays at the upper floor.
Since our upper neighbors did not went to bed late , we could hear them
till 2 am. The room was cleaned well, however, several times they forgot to provide
bath towels , so I had to request them.

Very clean hotel and pool area - coridal, helpful, professional staff - the suites are very spacious, clean and comfortable! We will definitely stay there again! However, there is no direct access to the beach but there is a quick walk to the beach close by. Only downfall...no pets allowed.

My husband and I recently went on vacation to South Padre Island, and we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites. We got excellent service while we stayed there. The hotel staff were very helpful. Our room was very clean. The hotel is conveniently located on the island off the main road.

Our only complaint, and it was not with the hotel itself, merely the location, was that the beach was about a minute walk or two from the hotel. This is not bad at all. But my husband and I had brought our own beach chairs and umbrellas, so the walk was far to lug all of our stuff there. However, if you don't mind driving like five minutes, there is an access to the beach (I think it is Beach Access 6) where you can drive onto the beach with your car. That is what we did and it was less crowded!

Loved the staff and hotel room. Breakfast was pretty good, except for the powered eggs. Recommend the pancakes. The only minor issue I had was that I also had to conduct some business and the wireless access is terrible. It will connect and disconnect every 5 minutes or so. Finally I got a ethernet cable from the front desk and was able to finish my work. So bring your ethernet cable and enjoy your stay.
