“Wonderful Surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

This is a great little restaurant. Don't let the exterior scare you away, the inside is wonderful. The food was excellent. We had breakfast there on our last day on the Island and we are sorry we did not find it sooner. The breakfast tasted homemade and was delicious. We asked to see the dinner menu and was very impressed. The owner is on premisses to make sure everything is to your liking. On the morning we were there, she was wrapping cream brulee that had just cooled for that evenings dessert. Next time on the Island we are going to Cafe Kranzler first!

“good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

good place if you like high end restaurants. Small portions which does not bother me. Quality over quantity. If you want to stuff yourself you should get an appetizer or two, salad, entree and dessert.

“Lives up to ratings”

This is a wonderful restaurant. It is quiet and understated, not a bit pretentious. Excellent meal and attentive service. The signature tenderloin is stellar. Fresh ingredients all around. Good wine selection, too.

“Great Food, Service and Cookies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

The owner of the restaurant provided excellent service. The food was great - especially breakfast. I travel often and dine frequently at numerous restaurants - their breakfast was simple and tasteful and yet comparable to some of my favorite restaurants in the U.S. I inquired about their baked goods and was introduced to their baker. We requested Mexican weddings and to our surprise the cookies were baked on our return visit - the next morning. The cookies were a pleasant delight and ranked among the best. The experience was great and was an option to island dining - which is generally loud with poor service.

“No local seafoood served here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

A very nicely decorated Bistro cafe with a European feel and not Tex-Mex, offered a continental style dinner menu. It was pricier then other local venues but there was very pleasant entertainment on a Saturday night., A guitarist singing 40's50s' and 60's songs. The service was very attentive and the menu offered a respectable listing of seafood but upon inquiry, the crab, shrimp and fish were not locally obtained. The Bouillabaise had copious amounts of seafood and soup was al bit salty and a shrimp and pasta dish was average. The shrimp had an iodine flavor. It was a very pleasant dining experience but disappointing that imported seafood was used in preference to local.
