This is a nice, quaint, family friendly restaurant in the heart of Sinton, Texas, a small ranching community between Beeville and Portland just off Highway 181. There are two main buffet areas offering a nice selection of main entrees, a very generous soup and salad bar featuring fresh lettuce, spinach, traditional garnishes and cold salads including potato, pasta, carrot and pea salads. Two fresh soups were on the menu today and the ice cream bar was a favorite with the children. The menu changes daily but the web site listed today's features of barbequed brisket and chicken with all the trimmings, turkey with all the traditional accompaniments, fried fish, chicken nuggets, and lots of vegetables including 2 different styles of green beans and braised cabbage as well as corn. Very nice value for less than $10 and the service was excellent. One thing I really liked about the Butter Churn was that the staff didn't put out a huge amount of any one dish so that it became cold or stale, but instead the chef came out frequently and checked to see what needed replenishing. Nice touch was the strolling singer with a guitar.
