“Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

This was the best breakfast I've ever had eating out. The restaurant is very busy, we had to wait about thirty minutes, it was wellworth the wait. The only thing slow is the people eating. This is a small diner, but worth the wait..

“Greasy spoon, not grandma's”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

We had the chicken fried chicken and fried fish. Both were not that good, and the chicken was very greasy. The fish seemed to be coated in store bought batter and the hushpuppies were not fully cooked. The fries tasted like the fish and the ketchup seemed to have gone bad. The green beans, carrots and Texas toast were quite good. Service and prices are excellent. Expect decent greasy spoon, not grandma's awesome meal.

“Great Home Cooking Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We try and visit this restaurant every chance we get. It is very small but well worth the wait. The specialty of this establishment is true comfort food. We eat breakfast there often and love the eggs benedict and the spinach omelets. The biscuits and gravy are great as well. We have never been disappointed and will always consider it one of our favorites.

“Long Sytanding reputation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Abels has maintained a reputation of not only excellent family style food but inexpensive without skimping on the quality. Its always old home week when you go there for lunch or dinner.

“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

My husband and I really enjoy going to this restaurant. It's very small and sometimes is standing room only. Be sure and time your visit well.

The food is excellent. It has that home cooked feel.

The only thing negative I have to say is that I wish they would add a few more choices to the menu.
