During our two-week trip to Texas, our stay at the Hawthorn Inn was one of the most expensive. Our room was fine, no complaints. It wasn't particularly spacious, however, and it could've done with a deeper clean (skirting-boards etc). The staff we met were pleasant and the location was good, particularly the close proximity of the restaurant Chedders. We had a good meal there and the waiting-staff were delightful. In short, there was nothing wrong with the Hawthorn, but it did not warrant almost $90 a night.
