We were at the hotel for the weekend to work at the Home and Garden Show and we try to stay at Wyndham hotels. The room was clean but very worn. Towels were very thin. However, for a Wyndham property we expected a little better. I think our stay was tainted by the breakfast offering. If you are on the other side of the hotel and it is cold you have to drive there. You are given a menu with 3 choices. 2 eggs, toast and bacon, ham, cheese and egg omelet or pancakes, 1 juice, 1 coffee or 1 can of a soft drink. AND don't ask to change one thing! "No soup for you"! My husband ordered pancakes the first morning. They were tough. (I tasted them) The next day he wanted the omlette, but it had cheese on it and he can't eat cheese. They can't substitute so he ordered the only other thing they offer. 2 eggs, toast and bacon. They serve hotel guest on very small plates. (didn't see any other guest using a very small plate. I think when you walk in with your ticket you join the class of being waited on last and no services after that. When we go to other hotels that have a breakfast room, we can have a refill if we want. We already knew not to order water in San Angelo. The first morning my husband left a $3.00 tip. Why I don't know. The next morning we left $0 tip. We should had taken our $3.00 and gone to McDonalds. We also had to wait for a long time to give our order. Since it is open to the public I guess freebie hotel guest are considered losers. (Hint, if you walk in there hide your little orange hotel breakfast tickets so they don't know. Then maybe you will be waited on)
We chose this hotel because of the bad review of Ramada Inn and Super 8. We stayed at the Microtel before and while it was new and clean it IS MICRO. The seating area is on top of the air conditioner, the desk and chair is underneath the TV, the bathroom is so small and has no commode lid so if you drop anything, that’s probably where it is going to go.
We stayed there because of the price and breakfast. Hope we don't have to stay there again. May have to give up the Wyndham rewards program and look for some other program.

We apologize for our breakfast menu and the quantity that we provide on your plate. The rooms are getting upgraded and also in fufure we have big plans to get rooms more to a modern look, its under new management and we have seen progress at our property from our customers, that its nice, clean, comfortable, and overall friendly staff.
