“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2010

We've stayed at other Staybridges before and always liked them. This one however I had mixed feelings about-mostly in regards to the service. As far as the room, breakfast, the usual amenities, everything was fine.

We stayed for 2 nights. When we went out on the first day, we didn't get any housekeeping service while we were out. We reported this to the person at the front desk who told us that housekeeping had left for the day. She offered us some towels but didn't really seem overly concerned. We went back out for a few hours, and when we came back it was obvious that someone had been in our room-they had taken the DND magnet off the fridge and put in on the top of the doorway! What was the point of that? No one had any business in our room at that time. We found that creepy and odd. At this point we just decided we wouldn't stay there again.

On our way out at checkout we mentioned the lack of room cleaning to the young man checking us out. He apologized, and actually went out of his way to take some of the charges off of our bill. I was impressed with him. We almost hadn't even mentioned the problem because of the lackluster response of the earlier front desk person.

So I have mixed feelings about this hotel, we got both bad and good service, depending on the person we were dealing with. We would stay at Staybridge again but not this one.

We had a wonderful time here! The staff are all top class and will serve your every need. Rooms are spacious with all of the amenities world travelers have come to expect: coffee maker, hair drier, cable tv, swimming pool, sauna, horseback riding, archery range, and a wonderful room service that is speedy and delicious. The showers have wonderful pressure and flow with very little fluctuation of water temperature. The turtle garden is among the best I have ever seen and never looks the same twice! My partner really enjoyed the 24/7 salad bar to get her crouton fix any hour of the day! Now that is service! We drove the little mini Ferrari golf carts all over the place and had a great time with them. It is also located not to far from Historic "Dog Depot" which is also worth a look or for filling your per-pound dog needs. I agree with my partner that a return trip is inevitable once badminton season is over and the Kissinger Lodge stops offering half price Mimosas lol. Highly recommended to all families and couples! Singles, you gotta find someone and bring them here- it is beautiful!

I wish I got her name. Check-in was easy once we called the hotel and realized mapquest was off by one exit. The very very nice lady at the desk gave us good directions and then even printed out a map to the wedding we were going to in the area. Our room was fantastic w/ 2 flat screen Tv's, a full size refrigerator, tiny kitchen area/ fully stocked w/dishes and mini stove and dishwasher. The living room area seperated with double doors to the bedroom was very nice. Very comfortable. Breakfast was not bad w/ the large Texas shaped waffles. Loved that! We also got complimentary popcorn for my 9 year old. Thanks Staybridge!

Rooms very clean and spacious. Service was excellent and friendly. Breakfast was more than just a typical continental breakfast and hot entree changed. Although it was too cold to experience the swimming pool, it was available for those brave enough to try it. Hotel was quiet and well kept. Having a kitchenette was a big plus! We would definitely stay here again.

Our first choice of hotel was sold out for the date we needed 3 rooms. We were attending a funeral in Georgetown, and there is little choice of accommodation there. We chose the Staybridge Suites and are extremely happy with our choice...even now glad that our first choice wasn't available!

The room was comfortable, the bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was spic and span clean. The housekeeping staff we encountered was very helpful and nice.

The breakfast was fantastic...waffles in the shape of Texas, plenty of fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, toast, hot cereals, cold cereals, juices, coffee, tea, and all of the accompliments.

We'll be back when we can come for a more pleasant reason.

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. The staff will go OUT OF THIER way to make you feel special and to accomodate you. You truly feel like family. Breakfast is OUTSTANDING especially to be free. Pool is well kept and towels and pool toys are provided free at front desk. Barbeque Pits available and very nice to grill on - with pavilions to eat on nearby. Also has free dinner on tues-thurs. Not the greatest but nice to be free AND FREE beer. Cant beat that! Rooms are VERY nice quality. Kitchennette with all kitchen supplies you could need. Nice bathrooms, always clean. Wonderfully comfortable beds with excellent quality TVs and channel selections. IT DOESNT GET BETTER! I Assure you!
