“Great place for corporate event”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

The staff was friendly and our group was well taken care of. The park food was good but a little more expensive then the ranger ball park which I'm used too.

“Great time at the old ballgame!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

I had not been to a baseball game since my son was in little league (he is 45 now). I really enjoyed the game, the food was good and the fireworks after were spectacular. I understand they have fireworks every Friday during the season.

“Baseball Takes a Back Seat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

My main takeaway from several games at Round Rock is that The Dell Diamond is not primarily a place to sit and watch the beautiful game of baseball. It will do for that in a pinch (if you get reserved infield seats), but in reality the venue is a nice looking outdoor Chuck-E-Cheese. Like it or not (I'm on the fence) this is a family entertainment destination, not a ballpark.

This is in no way a comment about the quality of baseball played there--this is the minors (though Triple-A) and the rosters fluctuate as the parent club pilfers the good players and sends down their also-rans. Don't expect major league baseball and you won't be disappointed.

If you're going with young kids don't expect to watch much of the game; the playground beyond center field will catch their eye sooner or later and you'll be out of your seat unless there's a second parent to chaperon. If you're heading there alone or with older kids and everyone has baseball on their minds, DO NOT sit on the berm or in the Home Run Porch. Pay the extra few bucks for reserved infield seats. You'll get a great view and be among other folks who came to watch baseball.

Definitely do not go for a major event. Despite the rich tax base the Express front office and Round Rock PD cannot get their acts together in terms of traffic management. You'll easily spend an hour getting out of the parking lot if there's been a sell out.

Parking is pretty cheap at $5 and concessions are fairly reasonably priced.

“Good family entertainment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Very modern and well run franchise here. The baseball is good and the ambience of the ballpark is also very well done. Great for a family nigfht out, so check the website out for specials-- music, fireworks, etc.-- which happen often after the game.
