“The Good The Bad The Ugly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

I have been staying at this location off and on for over a year. I spend about 4 days a week here while working in the area. The staff that has waited on me the longest is Ella the day assistant manager. She is very courteous and knowledgeable. She is quick to take care of me when checking in or out. Great personality.
The night manager Christy is always smiling and humming a tune if not singing quietly to herself. It is refreshing to have these two take care of me when I am staying there. Both work really hard to make sure you are taken care of in the most professional way.
During my stay's here I have seen this location improve quite a lot.
If you bring anything that is not right to the attention of either one of the lady's above they do their best to take care of it in a timely manner.
Now for the building and its equipment.
The rooms are normally cleaned and kept up with, to a satisfactory manner.
I warn anyone to be careful of the vending machines they do like to take your money and often leave your purchase hanging just out of reach.
If you do not like smoking make sure you say so, for some of the rooms seem to have a Oder of cigar smoke in them. The odder will set in your clothes if in one of those rooms.
Most of the PTAC a/c and heat units work well, but I have come across a couple during my stay that will aggravate you.
Recently I have come across a microwave that likes to beep all night long. Simply unplug it.
I have noticed it seems that only one lamp works on the sides of the bed even though there are two, one on each side.
The new carpet is suppose to be going in this week which is a good improvement as well. This location is working on getting this location the improvements that it needs.
The lady's who do the cleaning of the rooms are always very courteous and willing to help if you ask them for something you need.
I have grown to think of this location as my secondary home when here.
The amenities such as cable TV some times has missing channels like this week. Channel 79 is only sound with the cable company's logo floating on the screen. The internet is not always speedy but most of the time you can log in.
The prices have always been satisfactory and never have I been charged for anything that I have not approved. I can not say this for some of the other places I have stayed at across this great country of ours.

Room Tip: I prefer to stay closer to the front on the north side. Third floor in the summer time seems to be...

I only stayed one night, mini get-away from life and chose this hotel. I was kinda skeptical at first b/c there are some negative reviews but also some positive reviews. Start off, I checked in with Ella, she was not only bubbly but very efficient when it came to check in and answering questions. All indoor hotel which I like, it feels alot safer than an outdoor hotel. My room had hardwood floors, microwave and fridge which I thought was nice. Also, the entire hotel has FREE WIFI which is a plus since alot of places charge for this. The best part was the BED, very comfy--I had a king size, plenty of space for me!!! At checkout, I checked out with a young lady by the name of Tracy who was also very polite. Overall my stay was very comfortable. I recommend for light sleepers to choose a room situated closer to the middle or back to avoid traffic noise. I will return again!!!

Room Tip: If you want a quieter room, choose a room located in the middle or back of property away from stairs...

Of all the hotels I have stayed at while doing business, the Red Roof Inn in Round Rock Texas has provided the best value. The price is quite reasonable. After a staying 2-3 times a year over 5 years, the manager has come to know me, and has extended courtesies to me when the website glitched on my booking. The rooms while not luxurious, are nice. The staff is very helpful. They don't have a breakfast, but offer 15% off at the local IHOP, where service is fast and the food is much better than typical hotel breakfasts, even at much more expensive hotels.

They said since we booked on expedia they could only give us the handicap room. It was on the first floor next to a side door that doesn't lock. Did not feel very safe especially at night. Also during the last two nights of our stay an escort service was being run in the room adjacent to us. Their door was opening and closing on an hourly basis with clients entering, receiving service, and leaving. I know this because I walked out at 2am to see what was up with all the door slamming. I did this on both nights always seeing different johns and the same girl.

I showed up about 9am, with not much else to do... but checkin was not until 3pm. I asked if i could check in early, and was given a double room rather than a single. While the space was smaller and had 2 beds i was allowed to unpack my things from my car and get an early start on the day. The two women up front at the counter were very polite, and yea.. the pool is a gimmick, not a luxury pool.. although, to be fair.. only 4 or 5 star hotels have good pools. which is sad, cuz you get charged for a pool... but oh well. is life.

I wouldn't have checked into a hotel if it was not for the government shutting down; I was camping and I live far away.

Room Tip: 1/2 the rate of the other hotels around.. although, not nearly as nice as a 100$ room. Would stay...

I spent a couple of nights with family here. My parents visited and we got a room with two queen beds. The room was clean and functional and ok for what we needed. There's coffee in the lobby and that's about it. Pretty basic, and the cheapest we got for the area. The hallways and entryways do smell like tobacco, but the room did not. I didn't have any issues with noise or trouble sleeping, aircon was fine. I saw some customers with dogs on the hallway but we didn't hear any noise from pets either. Ok for passing through.
Location is great, next to IHOP and gas station, across the highway from Fuddruckers and a discount cinema, many other restaurants in the area, Chuys, Carinos, Ruddy's.
