Love this place. I have drove from San Antonio just to eat here. Food is great and the staff ( Kelly is a jewel, Sam is the best of the best) has always went above and beyond.

“Always good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

My hubby loves Tex Mex, but I'm a salad person. The Cozumel Salad at Gringos is great. Order the dressing on the side and cut a few calories,

“Good local Tex-Mex”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and have always had great service and really good food. The only complaint is the portions are large and unless you want to share an entree you will either waste the food or take it home (not my favorite thing to do). I really wish the restaurant had a "seniors" menu.

Complimentary chips and salsa and drinks are refilled as needed. The food comes out fresh and hot, and there is free ice cream available as you leave.

The manager/owner is often table hopping, getting opinions from the diners. The wait staff is always on the run. I never see them standing around doing nothing or talking to each other, yet they take time with the customers to ensure everything is okay.

This is a good place to visit when you want good Tex-Mex.

“Big portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Price is reasonable, lesson learned is call before arriving, wait time is a bit long.
Huge portions! Easily could have shared a plate between 2 people.
Wait time was 35 minutes for a late dinner on Friday night....crowded tables, and the floors could have been swept or washed more often. The atmosphere was extremely loud and having conversations were difficult, even across the table from family and friends.
Chips and salsa were a nice start.
Mixed drink options were yummy!
Fish taco's were fantastic, however extremely large = 3 tacos on a plate.
Rice was pretty bland and should be skipped, black beans were yummy compared to the refried beans which were bland.
Free ice cream on the way out was an interesting touch to the experience!
