Saturday evening I took my family out for what I had hoped would be a pleasant experience. Instead; found the menu to be very limited; especially if bringing children and the quality of the food not good (way to spice which is over-kill and dominates everything in the boil...all you can taste is the spice)...ate on the patio instead of taking a 15 minute wait for inside. Waitress was pleasant and did check table often for refills on tea. That was probably the only good experience. The bill when presented was very difficult to read as now it was dusk and very poor lighting. I didn't have my glasses with me so instead of seeing the bill of 84.00 plus...saw it as 89.00...leaving a 15.00 plus tip...having no idea as to the individual pricing listed as assumed it was same as on the menu...WRONG....3 hot dogs...2 orders of the basic boil....cup of gumbo..cup of rice/beans...4 teas and 2 cokes...with the actual grand total of 84.49...I gave a tip of 15.50 and totaled 104.99 due to the fact I misread the total to be 89.49...This was paid on debit card ....noticed that it was not corrected to be 99.99 as should have been if that actual total was correct but ran thru my bank at 104.99....I attempted to contact the manager at the number listed for the Boiling Pot...many times...getting a busy signal...this was all day yesterday and even today...hummmmm...either out of order or off the hook...wonder which and why....Anyway...I assure you I will never darken their door again and certainly will pass the word along as this is not the place to go for good food...affordable food and certainly not a place where the quantity of food is even filling...just doesn't work in any area...I even sent an e-mail to the website e-mail address...of which I might had so far, have heard nothing.
