We visited Glow on a Friday evening after having read "glowing" reviews. Our experience was most disappointing. Although the restaurant is cute, the service was extraordinarily slow and unwelcoming. Because we did not have a reservation, we were made to feel that they were doing us a favor by letting us into their nearly empty restaurant. Once seated, I ordered a tomato salad, expecting a stuffed tomato of some sort. What I got was a tiny (really, really tiny) bowl of plain lettuce with a half a cherry tomato. It cost $6. My husband ordered a green salad after I had already received my "tomato" salad, primarily to fill the 45 minutes we spent waiting for our entrees. He was told that they didn't have a green salad on the menu, to which my husband asked what the "green stuff" in MY salad bowl was. The waiter then conceded that they could bring my husband a salad. What he received was a tiny, tiny bowl of plain lettuce - just like mine - but MINUS the half cherry tomato. His cost $8...$2 more than mine. When our expensive entrees finally arrived, they were so overcooked they were inedible. I could have used my sweet potato fries as nails. Our fish was indifferent and the "crab cakes" were an unpalatable mixture of about 25% crab and 75% ground shrimp. Not a happy combination. The experience was expensive, and while we don't minding paying for good food, this food definitely was not good. We will not be returning and will not recommend the restaurant to others.
